Last Yesterday Philiphs had a dream. A dream in which there was an enchanted land and its name itself was The Mysterious Magical Land! In the dream a flying carpet had broken into his house and flew him away into the cool autumn night. When he arrived at this so called enchanted land, the flying carpet talked to him, this is the Mysterious Magical Land. Then Philiphs got a tour of his life flying on a carpet above an enchanted land like he owned it. It was during his tour that he came to know the reason why it was called all Mysterious & Enchanted. It was because the flowers were talking, talk-ing to animals, trees giving directions to birds and Philiphs even saw a dragon! The carpet spoke again, you never know, one step youre walking, and on the other who knows what surprise may catch your atten-tion. Philiphs was getting restless as moment by moment passed, but his excitement reached to its max when he saw where he was headed; An enormous stone castle! In their cheerful faces popped, giggling furies fluttered around and besides a bunch of unrecognized creatures was a neat row of soldiers. Standing with pride in their well polished armor & freshly sharpened swords. It was as if a crowd was gath-ered for some kind of special

ceremony. A soldier stepped forward, with a tiny fairy gliding besides him. The fairy announced, Welcome, Crown Prince Philiphs!! Its been a long time! Philiphs needed not to be surprised more cause then itll just be all scary but still life isnt simple & easy its cruel... even in dreams sometimes, to add more suspense into this climax, the soldier, who had came with the fairy, handed Philiphs, or King Philiphs as I should say because Ive no death wish, a sword & a shield after setting the heavy crown made up of gold & encrusted with ample of precious gems. It was their tradition. There were these little crea-tures called dwarfs who woke King Philiphs up everyday and offered their special drink every time he woke up! After two days, there was a war on the third in the afternoon. Phil-iphs was rampaging through soldiers with his shield & sword when he felt a sword piercing through his body! AAHHH!!! Philiphs woke up with a start, but what he saw next was absurd, because what he saw was three dwarfs exactly like in his dream trying to wake him up and holding their special drink to offer! But this isnt it... there were two more dwarfs & when Philips focused on them, he saw that they were on his laptop and had already made a face book account each!

It seems as if there is never enough time to get everything done and that the situation only gets worse. Months are passing so quickly, an event couple of years ago seem like yesterday. Its not as I live a particular boring life, rather that life seems to be speeding by now faster

than it ever has and I am losing the sense of having experienced every day to the fullest. Morning, noon and night the time flies fast. Time that passes can never re-turn, nor can it be compensated for, time is irretrievable.

There is a phenomenon called telescopy. It is simply the under-estimation of time. It is as though you are looking through a tel-escope where the details of what you see give you the impression that an object in the distance is much closer than it actually is. Because of telescopy, our brains recall distant events as if they occurred only yesterday. The ap-parent speed of times passage was a result of adults experienc-ing fewer memorable events. Each passing year converts some of this experience into automatic routine, which we hardly note at all, the days and the weeks smooth themselves out in recol-lection to countless units, and the years grow hollow and collapse.

Most of us forgot that time is gold. As time is passing fastly we are forgetting its value. Both the Quran and Sunnah enjoin Muslims to be conscious of time. We are reminded that life in this world is nothing but temporary. We never know when death has been appointed for us. We must

value time for the satisfaction of Allah Almighty. For our guid-ance and success, we must never waste time and abuse it. its pity that even we do not have enough time to help others.

If you want to realize the value of one year, ask a student who has failed a grade. If you want to realize the value of one week, ask an editor of a weekly news-paper. If you want to realize the value of one day, ask a daily wage laborer who has kids to feed. If you want to realize the value of one minute, ask a person who has missed the train. If you want to realize the value of one second, ask a person who has avoided an accident.

Time needs to be duly appreci-ated and managed. We can slow down time by making meaning-ful progress. Though you might feel like you have less and less time, dont mourn the fact that lifes passing you by. Instead, get proactive by spending your time thoughtfully and creating new memories. Fill out the chapters of your journey with new experienc-es and all sizes of milestones, and youll find that youre marching, ambling, skipping to a slower, richer beat.
