Viscosity- the stickiness of a paint. How much it resists stirring or beingmoved around on a surface. The thicker the paint the greater theviscosity.

Paint is made up of three parts-

The pigment is what gives the paint its color. It can come from natural sources or from chemicals.

The binder helps the pigment stick together and to stick to the painting surface.

Examples would be gum arabic, acrylic resin, egg, linseed oil

Solvent- controls the consistency of the paint and how the paintmoves as it is being applied. The solvent, in the paint, evaporates andis not a permanent part of the paint.
