Day 01: Arrive Leh

On arrival at Leh Airport, meet our representative and transfer to

Day 02: Leh (Excursion to Monasteries)

Post breakfast we proceed for Indus Valley Monastery tour

including Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh, Thiksey an

impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village,

Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu

Order of Tibetan Buddhism, Sindhu Ghat. Night stay at Hotel.

After an early breakfast we leave for Pangong Lake enroute crossing

Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet

(4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to

seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is

bisected by the international border between India and China. A

few years back the government decided to open it to tourists

though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance.

Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. One rarely feels so

close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable.

Evening at leisure and overnight stay in Swiss Tents on the shore of

Lake.

Day 03: Leh to Pangong Lake (06 hours approx.)

Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of lake and later we drive

Day 05: Leh - Nubra Valley (Excursion to Khardungla Top - 18,390 Ft.)

Post breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung la, the highest

motorable road in the world at 18,390 ft. is around 39 Kms away

Day 08. Tso - Moriri - Leh Morning drive back to Leh, en route visit Chumathang Hot sulphur

springs and Thiksey Monastery. Evening free to explore and do

shopping in Leh bazaar.

Day 06: Nubra - Leh

Day 07: Leh - Tso - Moriri After breakfast, early morning drive along Indus River into Rupshu

Valley. A nice wilderness drive will take you to Tso-Moriri Lake where

you reach by late noon. Explore the lake and the natural beauty.

Overnight at the tented Camp by the Lake side in Korzok village.

Korzok is the only village and one of the most high altitude

settlements in Ladakh. One can enjoy the mesmerising high altitude

sunset and sunrise at Tsomoriri lake.

awesome altitude, this highland is the bridge between the

earth and the sky!

Ladakh is a region in India totally isolated from the modern

world. An authentic land, it is faithful to ancestral customs

where life is characterized by intense spirituality. Even an Indian

traveler will probably find no similarities in the land and people

between the ones he leaves behind and those he encounters in

Ladakh. Rich traditions of Mahayana Buddhism still flourish in

the purest form in this region, which has often been referred to

as Little Tibet.

not accessible for almost 8 months in a year as it is covered by snow.

We generally visit the snow point on Rohtang road, which has been

Please Note:

A hill station lying on the spur of the Dhauladhar range about 17

kms North- East of Kangra town. This hill station is wooded with oak

and conifer trees and snow-capped mountains enfold three sides of

the town while the valley stretches in front. The snowline is perhaps

more easily accessible at Dharamshala than at any other hill resort

and it is possible to make a day's trek to a snow-point after an early

peak tourist season is from May to September. Scottish and

The pass is open from June to October each year although trekkers

can cross it earlier. On the way back to Manali visit Solang Nallah

The Temple in the present shape was built way back in 1780 by

Late Maharani Ahilya Bai Holkar of Indore . In the year 1785 a

Naubatkhana was built up in front of the Temple by the then

Collector Mohd. Ibrahim Khan at the instance of Governor

General Warren Hastings. In 1839, Two domes of the Temple were

covered by gold donated by Punjab Kesari Maharaja Ranjeet

Singh. Third dome but was remained uncovered, Ministry of

cultures & Religious affairs of U.P. Govt. took keen interest for

gold plating of third dome of Temple.

Sarnath, 10 km from Varanasi, where the Buddha preached his

first sermon in the Deer Park, contains the most impressive

remains, as well as a modem temple. The Dharmarajika,

Chaukhandi and Dharnek stupas are outstanding. There are also

the remains of a monastery, and the beautifully polished Lion

Capital of Ashoka. Sarnath contains a rich library and at the Mula

gandha Kutir Vihara there are excellent frescoes by Kosetsu Nosu.

The Sarnath Museum , not far from the site, contains some of the

finest specimens of Buddhist sculpture. At all centers of Buddhist

worship, the Vaisakha (April-May) full moon is observed as the

anniversary of three important events - the Buddha's birth,

Enlightenment and death, while the Asadh (July - August) full

moon is observed as the anniversary of his first sermon. Sarnath

is one of the four most important Bhuddhist pilgrimage centres

of India . Bhudda, the great sage , after attaining enlightenment

(Bhudda-hood) at Bodh Gaya came to Sarnath and delivered his

first sermon to five disciples (i.e. Kaundinya, Bashpa, Bhadrika,

ahanaman and Ashvajit) for redeeming humanity. It is this place

where foundation of a new order of monks (Sangha) and a new

order of religious doctrine (Dhamma) was laid. Sarnath is also

sacred to the Jains because they look upon it as the site of

dropped off on the north bank of the river Rhine where you can admire the
