* Thanks to [site] .
First of all:
I am a naturopathic physician, not an Internet marketer.
This Free Report is designed to aid in your critical
thinking about how you find things that can help improve
your health, whether it is physical or mental health.
You may have never consulted a naturopathic physician
or other practitioner of Complementary and Alternative
Medicine (CAM) before.
When you read the information on my website, my Lobby
Flyer, and About Dr. Wilson, you will see how I am
dedicated to helping bridge the gap between conventional
western medicine and many approaches in the CAM field:
www.NaturalConnectionsHealthcare.com . I offer both
Tele-Health coaching or in-office consultations.
With a search engine you can find citations such as the
National Center for Complementary and Alternative
Medicine [NCCAM] (link: http://nccam.nih.gov).
I am a member of the Amen Education (E) Centers network:
Supporting the work of psychiatrist and brain imaging
specialist, Daniel Amen, M.D.

One of the most encouraging developments that I have
seen in my healthcare career is the new approach called
Functional Medicine. I am proud to be a supporter of the
Academy of Functional Medicine and Genomics:
www.AcademyOfFunctionalMedicine.com
The textbook, Laboratory Evaluations
for Integrative and Functional Medicine,
is one of the items that I feature on my
website. This describes the use of labs
to gain information about the function
of body systems, rather than to assign a
disease label to a person’s condition.
Functional Medicine overview
Another assessment that I also classify
as a Functional Medicine tool is the
AcuGraph digital meridian imaging
technology. This measures electrical
conductivity of skin at traditional
acupuncture points. I call it Health
Energy Assessment because it gives a dynamic map of the
energies coursing through the body tissues but applies it in
the context of health rather than disease labels. I’ve been
impressed with the correlations between acupuncture
meridian dynamics and emotional states. More information
is available on my website and also on my new YouTube
channel: www.youtube.com/user/Bionaturedoc .
I have studied the standard western medicine approach as well as many CAM approaches. My masters degree in Acupuncture when combined with my western medicine and naturopathic medicine studies helped me to see the benefits behind many approaches that include body energies.
In naturopathic medicine we acknowledge the central role of the Vis medicatrix naturae (your individual Healing Power of Nature). I honor the central role of each person’s innate healing power in the healing process.
CAM approaches that include body energies gained my attention and I have trained in several of those. I have chosen to offer several of these in my practice. These help me focus on the person.
"It is more important to know what sort of person has a
disease than to know what sort of disease a person has."
-- Hippocrates (460-377 B.C.).
In the CAM field there is a lot of talk about how the mind and body affect each other. There is a lot of scientific study being done to see what can be documented in terms of typical western medicine science. On my websites you will find links to resources about this.
For Neurological and Skeletal rehabilitation these movements can be done slowly, retraining nerves and allowing bone remodeling. If you are in bed, small movements
work well; FlexAware® can even be
done using the imagination if motion is limited. [DVD is available]
For Fitness the movements can be
done more rapidly. FlexAware®
improves coordination & enhances your other athletic activities.
FlexAware® for Neurological/Skeletal rehabilitation and for Fitness
FlexAware®: A breath-driven mind-body exercise --
Developed by Steven Shafarman, a Feldenkrais method practitioner; author: Awareness Heals.
Get fit without soreness. Starting a typical exercise program often brings strain and discomfort. Pleasant zero-impact movements can be more effective.
Natural full easy breathing. Better breathing gives you more oxygen, which is vital for healing, endurance, and mental clarity.
No time constraints. Get fit on your schedule, with movements you can do anywhere, anytime… [Note: Repetition helps gradually change the bone structure and nerve connections for deep rehabilitation.]
I am glad to offer the NES ProVision bodyfield scan. This was designed by an acupuncture educator. It includes some of the same information about physical and emotional energies as generated by the AcuGraph scan.
This is featured in The Living Matrix movie. I sometimes use this information-based technology as a Complement to and not an Alternative to the care given by western medicine practitioners, counselors and clergy.
You are the one who decides what options you pursue.
You are invited to check out my Internet Clinical Site and
other resources so that you have an idea of the options that
are available for helping people with health concerns. On
my site I include descriptions and links to a wide variety of
approaches. Here are some unique tips:
Creating Your Own Health Menu:
What is your surrounding environment? Does your family
and belief system support CAM therapies?
Have you seen Dr. Daniel Amen on television?
Do you have time to devote to supporting your own inner
healing abilities?
What is your experience so far with exploring such things
as herbal medicine, diet and nutritional supplements?
How has your body responded to massage, physical
medicine treatments and other bodywork approaches?
Have you tried treatments with “Energy Medicines”?
Can you think of yourself as having Three Control Systems
each of which you can support as part of your program?
A very important report from my travels is that most of
the effective approaches in the CAM field can be
experienced without threat to a person’s religious faith.
This is important when it comes to the health of your
Inner Protector, the 3- Level Autonomic Nervous System.
The safer you can feel, the more focused your energies
can be on managing the shocks and traumas of life.
Science & Spirituality: I write: I Do Not Want You to Lose
Your Faith. There are many CAM treatments that have
been shown to be effective despite possible religious
affiliation of the discoverers. A favorite example is seen
in the book by Herbert Benson, M.D., The Relaxation
Response. He was able to have his patients experience
the same health benefits that meditators received, but
did not use religious rituals and mantras. They simply
used the word “One” or some neutral sound to help
them focus and avoid distressing thoughts.
Whether you see yourself as being created by God,
or by the intricate results of millions of years of
evolution, the natural laws are still the same.
~~ Dr. Wilson .
Reassuring words about your comfort level "...People of any religious or spiritual tradition can enjoy FlexAware
with no distractions and no worries. There’s nothing in it that presumes,
suggests, requires, or relies on faith.
If you have some faith tradition or practice, you may find special value
in FlexAware. Many traditions and practices use breathing as a theme or
focus. A synonym for “inhaling” is “inspiring.” The root of “inspiring”
is “spirit,” which is Latin for “breath” or “to breathe.” All of the
FlexAware movements start with breathing and awareness of how we
breathe.
You might even do small subtle FlexAware movements as you pray or
meditate or worship. The movements can be nearly indistinguishable
from stillness. Even such small subtle movements facilitate blood flow
and nerve activity, thereby preventing or relieving stiffness and pain —
and perhaps adding power to your prayers and practices." -- Steven
Shafarman [www.FlexAware.com]
This Free Report can help you choose the next things you
include in your unique life journey. I’d be glad to help
you simplify your options.
