You don’t have to experience. . .

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

Hell is a place of torment …2 Pet. 2:4

Matt. 25:30 … pain, suffering

Matt. 25:41 … eternal fire

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment;

And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Where is hell? Matthew 12:40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

No one in torment will want to be there, or for anyone else to be there!

Lk. 16:23-31 rich man, tormented23 In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. 24 So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’    25 “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. 26 And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’    27 “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, 28 for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’    29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’    30 “‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’    31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

Second death is for eternity!Matt. 25:46“Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but

the righteous to eternal life.”

God is an eternal God …1 John 4:8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

God is an a consuming fire … Hebrews 12:29for our “God is a consuming fire.”

What’s the difference between love and consuming fire?
