Brad is responsible for Charlotte Pipe and Foundry’s marketing, corporate
communications and government affairs efforts. Prior to joining Charlotte Pipe
in 2002, Brad worked a senior manager at ad agency Price McNabb in Charlotte.
Charlotte Pipe is a fourth generation family-owned manufacturer, based in
Charlotte, North Carolina. They have been producing cast iron pipe and fittings
for plumbing and industrial systems for more than 110 years.
Before moving to Charlotte in 1995, Brad spent seven years working in
government affairs and international relations in Washington D.C. – first as a
member of the George H.W. Bush administration and later as an associate of
Edelman Worldwide, a public relations and public affairs agency.
In the Bush Administration, Brad worked for the Agency for International Development (A.I.D.) in the
U.S. State Department, managing foreign aid programs first for Afghanistan and later for Central and
Eastern Europe following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.
At Edelman, Brad worked for the late Michael Deaver, former Deputy Chief of Staff to President Ronald
Reagan, on a variety of public affairs and international relations issues, including helping to pass the
North American Free Trade Act.
Brad has held leadership roles with various charitable and non-profit organizations through the years,
including the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, the Simmons YMCA, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police
Foundation, the Charlotte Speech and Hearing Center and Providence United Methodist Church.
Brad is from suburban Cleveland, Ohio and he earned a B.A. degree in Political Science from Kenyon
College in Gambier, Ohio. Brad and his wife Charla, a marketing consultant and author, have two
children.
