“making it in the media: Everything You Need to Know to Jump-Start and Build Your Career in Broadcasting and Print”

“You gotta love it. There is something about this business that draws in people for the wrong reason. I don’t know if it is the allure of the TV lights or the perception of glamour, but there are too many people who say, “I am on TV,” instead of, “I am a journalist,” when asked what they do for a living. The journalists feel that adrenaline rush, answer that call, and stay awake for forty-eight hours straight waiting for that perfect shot, that perfect sound bite. Good journalists don’t exploit a grieving family. They pay homage to that fallen soldier, give voice to the voiceless, and help prevent tragedy from happening again. Good journalists strengthen their communities through education and awareness. We stay in the business for the love of the First Amendment. We are in love with our craft. At the end of the day, we just want to tell you a good story.”

Subject: You Stink & So Does WKRN Dear Teleprompter Reader, I realize that you got your job through 'aa' rather than based on your tv 'looks' (the blondes have you beat) or investigative skills and I also realize that calling you a 'journalist' is something of a joke as you were hired merely to fulfill a racial quota. That being said, the real subject at hand is how in a recent story you offended the relatives of a Tennessee Trooper slaughtered by two Mexican drug-running savages several weeks ago.

You see you (a Mexican 'aa' hire) devoted a mere 32 seconds to the dead Trooper but the remainder of the piece went on and on (ad nauseum) about the 'hurt' feelings of all of the illegals swarming in Nashville because two of their fellow illegals slaughtered a lawman and now the locals are hissing about their lawbreaking status.

Page 20: You can learn some of life’s most important lessons from a good journalist

It was a slanted piece, to be sure as so many of WKRN's reports are, and one can only hope that a WKRN news anchor, a propagandist writer or management staffer will be the next victim of a drunken illegal or worse, the victim of an illegal rapist or murderer. Is that what it will take to awaken you idiots to the dangers these illegals pose so that you'll begin to report the truth or cease with all of the pc bullshit? Somehow I don't think anything will awaken you rubes from your slumber and Prozac meds. The agenda has already been set by powers that you aren't even aware of. JE Hoover
