INVEST IN YORK CLIENT SPOTLIGHT: Invest in York Welcomes TriNimbus as it Expands into the Greater Toronto Area with a Markham, York Region OfficeSource: Invest in YorkTriNimbus has established a new technical development office in Markham, York Region to service its growing customer base in the Toronto area and Eastern Canada. This is the second Canadian office and fourth location in total for the Vancouver, BC headquartered company. International offices are located in Chicago, Illinois and Skopje, Macedonia.

“The new office in the City of Markham, which opened in mid-October, will initially house a team of five solution architects,” said the company’s Vice-President & General Manager, Ian Locke. “It is anticipated that by the end of 2016, the Greater Toronto Area office will have up to twenty-five full-time employees in a range of technical, business development, and project management roles.”

The company is also recognized as a DevOps leader and has been awarded the DevOps competency by AWS. The company specializes in cloud management solutions architecture, among other services, using AWS solutions for large scale enterprises and SMB’s.

TriNimbus combines its expert software engineering and cloud infrastructure background with 24/7 operational support to help its’ customers successfully improve their company’s performance, scalability, operations and cost effectiveness in the cloud. The company has a global client base including Canadian organizations such as BC Hydro, STEMCELL Technologies, Vancouver Airport Authority, Shomi, Canadian College, Safe Software, and PointClickCare.

The new location, in the 404/407 technology hub, was selected for a variety of reasons including easy access to several Toronto-area highways and its equidistance from the Toronto downtown core and Pearson International Airport, which makes serving clients more efficient for the company. The new office location embeds TriNimbus in the centre of Canada’s largest enterprise-scale Information & Communications Technology cluster. Other ICT companies nearby include Oracle, Huawei, Toshiba Canada, CGI, AMD and Qualcomm.

With a close alignment to AWS and strong existing client-base in the area, opening a GTA office made sense for the company as they continue their business growth in Canada. York Region’s economic development team worked with TriNimbus over the past few months, as they were looking to establish their new Toronto area office.
