ETERNAL WISDOM

Signature Movement against black money and corruption thatwas started on January 30, has to reach every household of all the

624 districts, all the tehsils and 6 lakh 38 thousand 365 villages of the coun-try. About 100 crore aware patriots of the country, from children to youth toold age people, of all religions have to be a part of this movement. With this non-violent and peaceful revolution in the country, we will frame apublic opinion against corruption, black-money and corrupt system. At anycost we will eradicate corruption and bring this black money back into thecountry. We ask these seven questions to the central government with regard to corruption and blackmoney -1. The central government, by terming this black money as tax evasion, is deluding people. This

is an act of sedition and also a political criminal act and a big lie. This can not be only a caseof tax evasion. This is the money meant to be spent on education, food, medical infrastucture. This is the money collected as bribery, by abusing constitutional position and authority, by ille-gal mining and sent to foreign shores. Why is government lying about the source of this blackmoney and its amount ?

2. Under the act of United Nations, 'Convention against Corruption', which was signed by 140countries and adopted by 120 countries, this black money can be brought back. But, why is thisConvention pending in the country since 2006 instead of being ratified and sent to the UnitedNations?

3. We need honest and allegiant support from the government to swipe out black money of 100crore rupees, which is in circulation within our economy. When more than 40 parliamentarycommittees have recommended currency-recall and the prime minister, himself believes thesame, then why doesn't the central government impose currency-recall and demonetize cur-rencies of large denominations. When this large-denomination currency is taken back then allproblems like gambling, inflation, corruption, fake currency, bribery and terrorism will end onits own. Does it mean that the government is supporting above-mentioned activities and con-suming all this sort of money on its own by not acting upon it?

4. Why doesn't the government act against people, who avail loans against fake projects byarranging bank guarantor from Switzerland or other tax heaven countries and then declaringthemselves as bankrupt to swallow all the money borrowed, against people using foreign cred-it cards while staying in India, foreign investors, who form fake companies and show fakeprofits in account books and sell shares of these companies to the people at a highly inflatedprice? Why can’t the government take technical assistance of International InformationGateway? Why doesn't government frame a transparent policy for declaring foreign accounts?

National Signature Movement against Corruption & Black Money

Page 4: YogSandesh March Eng2011

5. Why doesn't the government arrest Hasan Ali, who claims to have a tax liability of 50,000crore rupees and reclaims this money and asks for the source? Is this act of indifferencebecause of Hasan Ali, who happens to owe this money to some of the dishonest political peo-ple, who formed this government? As an action against these people, we want this country tobe returned this money. Besides, we want that people involved in this corruption to be eitherhanged or given lifetime imprisonment. The country must be returned crores of money that hasbeen skimmed off in Bofors deal, Common Wealth Games, Adarsh Society, 2-G spectrum caseand S-Band case. This indiscriminate loot should be stopped. The government recovers moneyand arrests a person evading tax worth one or two lakh rupees. Then why doesn't the govern-ment hang people who have pocketed lakhs and crores of rupees from government's coffers.

6. The central government is behind all problems of poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, naxalism, over population or any other such social issues. The same government has also approved sin-ful activities like prostitution, gay rights or living-in relationships by framing laws on suchobjectionable matters. The same government also legalized cow slaughter and alcoholism. Then why doesn't the same government implement Lokpal Bill to plug the source of corrup-tion? When China can declare capital punishment on crimes like corruption, rape and adulter-ation, then why can't we adopt the same law? Is the government intent on saving these crimi-nals?

7. If the government does not act on above-mentioned six questions then it simply means that itis acting in collusion with corrupt and black money hoarders. Then does this government haveany right to govern this country? If the government does not act strongly in-time against blackmoney and corruption then we will launch a movement against it and bring its true face andcharacter before the people. In democratic system, the government is elected by the peopleand serves those people. If the protector becomes predator and invests its resources in wealthdestruction rather than development and conspires to turn democracy into organized systemof extortion, then the people must root out this government and elect one that legislates againstcorruption. This same government must bring back 400 lakh crore rupees to the country anduplift every village and the poor of this country by localizing our political system.

According to the opinion of economists and premiere institutions, in the last 64 years of independ-ence some 300 lakh crore rupees have been sent to foreign countries and another 100 lakh crorerupees of black money is floating in the economy. Out of these 64 years Congress party has ruledthe nation for about 55 years. How can this big black money build into the system without the co-operation of the central government? We have started a movement against corruption and blackmoney. If you want to eradicate these two menaces, then support this movement on your own andalso encourage your friends to participate, by signing the protest papers in this signature campaign. This 400 lakh crore rupees has been accumulated by illegally looting national assets abusing con-stitutional positions by officials. So, everybody, who wants this country to be an ideal one and to beeconomic super power should come forward and join this movement. Every child, who wants equal right to education after finishing all the loot and discrimination in thename of spreading education, youths who wants respectable employment, every farmer, who wantsto see his fields green for all the time, every artisan or labourer, who wants right-to-work with self-respect, must join this movement. We will fight and bring back 400 lakh crore rupees as it is ournational asset. If it could be brought back, every village panchyat and every city could avail 100crore rupees each for development turning into heaven. And this country will rule the world andbecome economic and spiritual superpower by the year 2020. Now, it's a historic moment to decidefor the responsible and aware citizens, whether they will side with extortionists and seditionists orthey stand behind a movement that seeks to eradicate corruption and black economy? Since our existence, whenever evil forces attacked the truth, our forefathers struggled for truth,Dharma and justice and attained victory. The ideals of our ancestors and instructions of our Vedasare that we stand-by the truth. 'Ma vas yen eshat' in Yajurved - suggests that corrupt and dishonestpeople do not rule over us. Black money has to be brought-back; the country has to be saved.Corruption has to be eradicated; the country has to be saved.

Swami Ramdev

In the past 64years of inde-pendence some300 lakh crorerupees havebeen sent to for-eign countriesand another 100lakh crorerupees of blackmoney is float-ing in the econ-omy…..

…out of these64 years,Congress partyhas ruled thenation for about55 years. Howcan this bigsome of blackmoney buildinto the system, without the co-operation of thecentral govern-ment? This ishistorical andhow could thegovernment besilent?

At prsent femaleoppression, female foeti-cide and vulgar displayof women has become acommon tendency.

According to Vedas, disregarding the roleof a woman in pro-creation is the solereason for disinte-gration of social val-ues.

and prosperity are found in abundance where women are beingtaken care of with regards. This is a traditional Indian culture

followed here since ages. And now world community has decided tocall 8th March has been declared as ’International Women’s Day’

Happiness

We find it opportune to think over theconditions and direction of women inour society on this day. Following thewestern ideologies it has become acause to provide equal opportunitiesto the well educated women in socie-ty.

Swami Vivekanand answering a ques-tion, 'Whether women are being con-sidered equal in India?' in 1890 said,'No' which shocked people. He con-tinued with, 'We do not considerthem as equal as we regard themhigher than men in our society.

Committing atrocities on women, femalefeticide and their vulgar representa-tion has become a trend in generalthese days. As per ancient textsneglecting women's contribution inbuilding society is the reason forsocial degradation.

The maternal role of a woman in thephysical and mental development ofher child begins since the conceptionof fetus. Moral values and sensibilitytowards nature throughout child-hood is a gift from mother to the soci-ety. Nature has made woman capableof bearing it all.

Acrimonious behaviour of men towardswomen like female feticide, rape andother crimes are the reason for cur-rent social degradation. Even Godlives in pain in a society where atroc-ities are committed on women. Thisearth is our mother and disrespectingthem is unbearable in any way.Maternity calls for discipline andausterity to come over this challengeand to give birth is a victory.

Swami Ramdev ji says, 'A mother keepsher child in her womb for 9 months, then in her lap for another 9 monthsafter birth and lifelong in her heart. All four pious centers could be foundin the feet of our parents. They are

Our biggestproblem is that,we do not initiatemeasures ontime to curbissues in anyfield. We startcrying hueswhen we have toface it with itsdire conse-quences. At suchtime we try toawaken peopleto get rid of suchissues Shiva’s semi

the god on earth and we shouldimbibe again our culture of regard-ing our parents.

He believes that the virtue of a woman isher true beauty and not her physicalappearance. She is not a saleableobject but she is a revered deity.Womanhood could be found inmaternal love, wives sanctity and in adaughters love and respect. Weshould oppose the ways with full fer-vor in which media is deploringwomen.

The industrial minds should be made torealize that Indian woman hasn't losther virtue but she is the pinnacle ofsanctity. Respecting them is respect-ing me and degrading them isdegrading me. Some poet has said -'Women only lead's to men, she is theorigin of men.'

In the present Indian context dowrydeaths, female feticide is reducingwomen count in the society. Thisshould be given enough considerationas minus women, how would the soci-ety survive? We have to take neces-sary steps now to eliminate this possi-bility.

Hearty greetings and blessings on theoccasion of 'Holi' and jealousy, hatred and all evil should be offeredto fire. May all adopt yoga.

We were sotrapped by theEnglish language, that we forgot ourown culture….

with that Yogaand Ayurvedaalso vanished. Now is the timeto wake upfrom slumber. It's the time forthe expansionof Yoga andAyurveda.

Unlike allopathic system, which treats symptoms,Yoga roots out the cardinal cause of disease, pro-viding us inner well-being. We must look at Yogaas a complete science, shrugging off our ulteriormotives, prejudice, ignorance and arrogance. It's an ancient belief that Yoga helps in activatingeight chakras in our body. Also, regular practice ofbreathing exercises eradicates our past sins andaccumulated evil sanskars of our innumerable pastlives.Scientific and comparative studies of eight chakrasshowed that Muladhaar chakra is connected withreproductory system, Swadhishthaan chakra is con-nected with excretory system, Manipur chakra isconnected with digestive system, Hradya chakra isconnected with skeletal system, Anahat chakra isconnected with circulatory system, Aagya chakra isconnected with respiratory system and Sahasraarchakra is connected with nervous and endocrinalsystem. It means that these eight chakras have thesame function that these above-mentioned corre-sponding systems have. So eight breathing exercis-es of practical Yoga activate and balance above-mentioned eight chakras or systems. Imbalance ineach system causes various disorders and diseases.Whatever be the language, science and spiritualismcoincide here. Language is only a medium forexpression. But a four hundred years old inferiori-ty complex of our slavery runs so deep that weunderstand anabolism, catabolism and metabolisminstead of Vaat, Pitta and cough. This complex is so frivolous that a statement like'stress is main cause of all diseases' seems morescientific than the principle founded by ancient

is a philosophy of life. Yoga is self-disciplinary. Yoga is a system of life. Yoga is a phi-losophy of disease-free life and a life of healthy concentration. Yoga is the best spiritu-

al teaching for self- healing and Introspection. Yoga is a spiritual teaching for complete trans-formation and development. Yoga is a teaching to raise spiritual status. Yoga is not an alterna-tive medication but it's a complete medication system in itself, which eradicates diseases. Itprovides holistic treatment not only to the body but also to the psyche of people.

healer Charak - Pragyapradho hi sarvroganamoolkaranam. So, please shrug off your prejudiceand ignorance and connect yourself with truth. Forexample, imbalance in endrocrinal system causesheart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetesand other such intriguing diseases. Likewise imbal-ance in skeletal system causes more than hundredkinds of arthritis and man becomes vulnerable tovarious disorders in muscles. Having conductedexplicit and implicit research on millions of people,we found out that practicing eight breathing exer-cises for a certain time period and in a certain ordercompletely balances these eight chakras. Yoga, unlike allopathy, a pigeon-hole therapy, is aholistic treatment of all diseases. Except emergency medication and surgery, Yoga is the best medical

science. And in some intriguing diseases, if Yoga iscoupled with Ayurveda, then treatment becomeseven more effective. The spiritual side of the Yoga is also extensive, along with the stated holistic healing side. Althoughthe cardinal objective of Yoga is to attain the high-est concentration or attaining the ultimate truth ofnature, yet during this journey to the highest con-centration, all the impediments in the form of dis-eases vanish on their own. We should never forgetthat the ultimate objective of the Yoga is to attainthe highest concentration. This opinion on Yoga isnot merely an intellectual exercise or an imagina-tion or bait for people or an assurance, but it's a uni-versal truth of experiments on Yoga. I am sure thatthe new generation, keeping their prejudice aside, will experience the influences of Yoga and build ahealthy, peaceful, sensitive and progressive countryand the world. Science and spirituality will prosperwith the merger of materialism and spirituality. Yoga will encourage sense of responsibilitytowards self and the country among people. Theworld will progress on the path of welfare of theself and of the world. And finally men will adopthumanism and nationalism, discarding all the theo-ries of casteism, regionalism, Marxism, Maoismand Manu's axioms. India will emerge as thesupreme power in the world culturally, spiritually, economically and socially. Fear, hatred, craving, dissatisfaction, anger, impatience and other lustyemotions are generated, when humans are notpeaceful. Breathing exercises and meditation willcalm down human mind and lust will be controlledby developing faith in them. This is the only solu-tion to the material lust. The end of vicious circle ofviolence, crime and desires is possible only throughthe establishment of the power of Yoga world over.Otherwise nothing else can save us from extinction.

Sankhya way makes a man to Sanyasin. Itdetaches him from every entanglement.According to the belief of Sankhyans, ‘Aman never come out of the incessant cycle ofBIRTH and DEATH’. He is alwaysenmeshed by the feeling of Success andFailure and suffers a lot. At times he feelsPleasure and at times pain. Constant struggleexists between vice and virtue. Then thequestion arises that ‘Why should we performKarma…?’ Lord Krishna says that – ‘Thepath of Sankhyans has a lapse. This waydevastates the world. But nobody shouldexercise his powers , however great he maybe, to lead the world to annihilation.’

This The path of KARMA YOGA leads aman to perform duty. A KARMA YOGIinclines to lead a life for an exemplary causerather than to spend it aimlessly. That is thereason KARMA YOGINS initiate them-selves in execution of the glorious deeds tosupport the welfare of the state as well as the

society. Maharshi Aravindaopines that ‘By teaching

Karma yoga, Geetha does agreat thing. But Idealsshould change accordingto the Time and Place. The only mistake in thispath is that one shouldgo a long way toachieve success. One

may do serve socie-ty and country

by dedicatinghis heart andsoul to it. Butu l t i m a t e l yhe should

not merge his self goal into society’s goal. Indian Scientic way always gives animmense preference for the service of socie-ty and country. But its philosophy aims highfor an individual and shows him the way thatleads to transcendental state. Geeta, thesupreme authority of Indian Philosophy ,counsels an individual how to develop hisunderstanding and what is the ultimate pur-pose of it. The objective of ancient sages atVaidic times states clearly that ‘Irrespectiveof the level , where a man stays, he should gofurther and should continue his endless jour-ney . He should never lose his self ideals forthe Society ideals. He should practice insuch a way that he should be in awakeningstate by unfolding and stretching himself inthe supreme conscience of ‘Eeshwara’, andshould reach the higher states and remainstill in bliss.’ And this action does not getproper pursuit by the principle of‘Karmavada’, which believes in gaining sal-vation by performing duties , but it can bemore aptly pursued by the principle of‘Divya - Karma’ (divine actions) as servicesto the society and Country are the part andparcel of ‘Divya - Karma’. But any differ-ence is seen in the actions of a great personbringing variation in ‘human doing’ and‘divine doing’ , then the difference is narrat-ed by the society from one perspective andthe lord that stated within in another. If I like‘this one’, lord may send ‘that one’ for me.Ultimately Lord’s will only be executed. Soit is better make your longings and society’saspirations as offerings at his altar. And hedecides the course of journey for a man orsociety as a whole. This is the nucleus of theprinciple of ‘Divya - Karma’. In this way I

am not ‘KARTA’, the doer. I have no long-ings and attachments. Still I do my dutydispassionately and disinterestedly ! If in this way ‘Divya - Karma’ is performed, the main objection raised by ‘Sankhya – per-spective’ that ‘causes are the constraints, while performing the duty’, vanishes away. And Maharshi Aravinda’s objection on‘Karmavada’, hat a ‘man has to lose himselfin the larger arena of society and stay therebecoming a small part of it’ will also becomea trivial comment. Maharshi Aravindaadmitted the principle of ‘Divya - Karma’ isa purified principle containing only thesalient essence of ‘Sankhya’ and ‘Karma’perspectives, leaving their flaws aside.Iti SriMadbhagavadgita supanishatsubrahmavidyayam yogasasthre SriKrishnarjuna Samvade Karma Yogonaama Triteeyodhyayah . Lord Krishna told Arjuna regarding theadherence in Karma yoga, ‘I told you aboutNishtha (adherence) in Karma Yoga and thisis known from the beginning of the creation. And we can see in MAHA BHARATA, thisNishtha was preached by two sages, namelyNARA – NARAYANA . Lord gave thisknowledge to Vivaswana , Vivaswana to hisson Manu and Manu to his son Ikshwaku. Itis said this Ikshwaku is the predecessor ofthe SURYA VAMSI clan. Incarnation of SriRama also happened in the same clan. Butthis knowledge is obsolete today. Arjuna, Iam not preaching any new kind of adherence! And, being you are my bosom friend, Iadvocate you this secret knowledge.

Diet provides energy to body. But if wetake undigestable food it becomes poi-sonous to our health. Now we discusswhat kind of diet should be taken andwhat should be our eating style.

The code of diet

that ‘Food’ plays great role in ourhealth. But we should also know what

diet is to be taken and what time we take it. Andmost importantly , we should practice them. Then only one keeps a good health. Now let usknow what diet is to be taken.

Knows

Diet - Some salient

features

Oily FoodWe should prefer sufficient ghee and oils in our diet.In the modern times, nobody is using them in fear ofthe heart related problems, blood pressure and obe-sity. This is not appropriate. Meal is flavoured andtasted good with these ingrediants. They intensifythe activity of digestive system. Food is digestedproperly. They increase strength. Senses become strong. Thecolour of the skin looks fair. Air gets positive effectif ghee like ingredients are taken. Faeces is releasedeffortlessly. If it is greasy at the point of joints, therewould be no friction. That way Joint Pains can beavoidable. Using refined oil leads joint pains. Lackof greasiness in joints causes acute pain. So suffi-cient oily products are needed while taking meal.

Fresh and warm Food

Diet should be taken while it is hot and warm. Itshould be fresh and tasty. Such food increasesdigestion and it is air positive. This is called a‘nutritious’ diet. If the food becomes stale and coolit increases negetive characteristics like anger, heav-iness, laziness etc. And this is ‘non-nutrient’ diet.

The beauty of the FoodIf the diet is attractive, colourful and flavourish, saliva starts secreting automatically. And that fluidis highly useful in the activity of digestion and in thesecretion of other digestive enzymes. So care shouldbe taken the utensils are clean and attractive. If thefood becomes routine, one may feel repulsivetowards taking food.

Good looking and secluding placeAfter preparing the food one should choose a placewhich is attractive and clean. Environment shouldbe very virtuous and beautiful. If the place is dirtyand filthy our psyche gets agitated. That affects digestion also. To have food is a piousdoing. If one takes food with concentration, it givesgood result. Keep the T.V. programmes and tele-phonic conversations aside for a while, while youtaking your meal.

Moods of the mindYou should take your diet with a pleasant mind.Anger, Jealousy, hatredness, excitement, fear likemental moods suspend the taste and flavour of food.

Acharya Balkrishna

it is not proper to take additional meal. Because thedigestive fluids have to give up their activity ofdigestion abruptly and take another task of secretingnew digestive fluids for this additional meal. Thenthe whole activity leads to a great confusion and thatleads to the disorders.Belching shows that the food has not been digestedyet, which is taken earlier. Heaviness should not befelt in stomach. Air way should not be obstructed.fecal activities should have been completed. Onemay set his meals time between 12 - 2 in the after-noon time. Because the secretion of bile takes placeat that time. If the bile is mixed with the meal, thenthe digestion process becomes easy. Resultantly, body gets strength. Everyday you feel appetite atappropriate time. You feel like something must betaken. That is the proper time to take a meal. Thenonly digestive fluids secrete. If you don’t take mealat that time, pitta quality agitated. And that leaves anadverse effect. After a while air gets agitated. Consequentiallydigestive power weakens and food would not getdigested.Even though you feel appetite and you are not readyto take meal... your body becomes weak, all thelimbs feel fatigue and there may arise problems liketorpidity, distaste, change in skin colour, eye sight. So avoiding this kind of situation, one should takeproper diet at proper time.

Quantity of foodAll kinds of nutrient values should be there in our

meal. 1/3 of place is to be vacant after taking meal. That makes digestion easy as kapha (phlegm) andthe digestive fluids mix well. It makes air flow veryfree. After taking meal one should not feel heavinessor weight in stomach, if there is no pressure in thesides, if any obstruction is not felt in the chest part,if any kind of problem is not felt while sitting, sleep-ing, walking, laughing, conversing and healing, thenwe may assume the food would have digested thatwas taken in the morning by the evening and viceversa. One should observe air positivity while tak-ing a meal. No disorder should occur in Dosha (defi-ciency), Dhatu (mineral) and Mala (excrement). Ifsuch kind of meal is taken, then it is called a mealwith good quality.

One should think about before going totake a meal in view of his nature, age, digestion, lightness of the food, situation of inflammation etc.If the digestion power is good and the food is tastythen one can take a little bit more also. But if thedigestion power is less one should not take suchextra food. So keeping in mind all these things, oneshould take meal.Precisely, if the food is taken in lesser quantity, thatmeal would not give happiness and you feel weak.If you take more food, you develop disorders likeobesity and indegestion. So when you feel hungryyou take sufficient food.

And digestive fluids does not secrete properly. Sonever open discussions that are unhealthy at the din-ing table and never see the hatred scenes.

Appropriate time for mealOne should maintain proper time for a good diges-tion. Then one may ask ‘what is the proper time totake a meal ?’ We have to identify two things toidentify the proper time to a take a meal. First of allwe have to check whether the food that is taken ear-lier has digested or not. If that process was going on,

March 2011 YOG SANDESH 17

March English YS.qxd 3/4/2011 7:05 PM Page 19

yes, one should take care for one’s health. If we takefood according to propriety of nature and measure,no ailment come near to you. Even if you fell ill, your illness would come under control. It woulddiminish all by itself. There is no need of medicine. But if you don’t take regimen, it would be ineffec-tual. Illness would not leave you. Even if you takemedicine, it proves useless. Non-regimen invitesmore and more diseases. So causes are to be curedfirst. Then only ailment comes under control. That’swhat our Indian sages say, ‘vinapi bheshajaivyarthadhi pathyadeva nivartate .na tu pathya vihinasya bheshajanam satairapi.’one who follows food regimen, there is no need ofmedication. And one who doesn’t follow the regi-men there is no need of medication, because medi-cine does not work on him. That means ailment doesnot leaves the patient. • Body-suitability ‘ Taking substances which are

advantageous to body. • place-suitability ‘ Taking substances that are

suitable to the place. For example, People liv-ing in Bengal, Chennai, Kashmir and Easternlands … paddy is the suitable food.

• Season-suitability ‘ Taking substances that aresuitable to the season. In the winter season tikta(bitter) and dry fruits and in summar season coolsubstances are to be taken.

• Ailment-suitability ‘ Taking substances that aresuitable to the ailment. If the patient is sufferingfrom fever he should take lajapeya.

Chew well Food goes through the mouth. In the mouth salivasecretes. Food is to be chewed well. Then salivamixes with meal in great quantity. If any hard mate-rial is there , they also can change into liquid formby doing so. Then the food is digested soon. If wedon’t chew well , the hard material go straight awayin stomach. Then the digestive system and the otherlimbs try hard to get that material digested. So thelimbs give all their strength in that activity. Thenthey feel fatigue. Still the food would not digestproperly. Indigestion, Gastric trouble arise. Soavoiding such undesirable consequences, chew wellwhile you taking the meal. And don’t swallow bigmorsels without chewing. Bhojan Satmya (Food - suitability)Satmya means suitability. One substance mayproves good for one person. And the same substanceharms (Asatmya) another one. How one knowsabout this suitability of a substance? That is possi-ble only by practice and experience. Our mealshould have all kinds of nutriant values. Unsuitablesubstances harm body very much. You may followthe food suitability like this. And keep your health ingood condition. If you take certain care ailmentswould not come in your way of living. If you follow certain rules, your meal provides youstrength. And your body would have the ability tokeep healthy all the Doshas and Dhatus. It would behelpful in carrying out excrement functions proper-ly. And this is the code of food. Everyone shouldpay a proper attention towards meal. And everyoneshould take his own care. If you take proper dieteven in a great pressure , that shows good result.

Moral Lesson

The bliss of sacrifice is immense. It is considered tobe a sacrilege if you offer something to someonewho could not have it anyway. Similarly if a mancould leave this world willingly, he does not have toserve any sufferings. Those who are made to sacri-fice unwillingly cry hue. Even then all has to leavethis world someday.

Mostly such self motivated forestprotection and management plansare critcised and raises debates ontheir technique and environmentalusage. Even then these measures offorest conservation taken by thetribal people of Orissa have suc-ceeded in attracting people all overthe world. Nayagarh, Aangul andDhenknaal are some of successfulexamples. Under this ambitious plan 'PatanjaliVillage Development Scheme' and'Patanjali Village Industry Scheme' isbeing launched in various villages. In thefirst phase of this program 100 villageswould be developed as the model villages. Though the government allocates crores ofrupees in the name of schemes to developvillages, but most of them could not bebrought into action due to corruption. What an irony it is that people and the

involved actively with promotingyoga to stay healthy, to regener-ating country by regenerating

self by mobilising masses is now con-centrating on national regeneration bydeveloping villages under 'BharatSwabhiman'. As per the action plan totake India to a healthy, cultured andpowerful state, villages have beenmarked to end poverty from the root.Through this we are supposed toachieve something in next 3-4 yearswhat we are trying to for the last 63years of independence.

administrative bureaucrats could not doanything even knowing, what is happeningaround them? What else could be a biggerexample of this then our deceased PrimeMinister Rajeev Gandhi himself admittedthis thing. He said just 15% of total allo-cated amount from the centre reach the vil-lage. Amidst such a corrupt system Swamiji has challenged our sovereign system byannouncing this ambitious scheme.Actually the scheme of developing vil-lages is a very important link in the move-ment of complete national regeneration. The fund amounting from 50 lakh to 1crore would also be collected throughdonations. Extremely rich people and fam-ilies are inspired to adopt villages aswhole. The amount thus collected wouldbe wisely spent in purchasing and provi-sioning of resources in these villages andthen by implementing the schemes asplanned. nomic development. Yoga has beenadvised as the easiest and best way forsocial, spiritual and character building. Itis believed that by regularly practicingyoga not only cures ailments but onereaches a stage of purity. Purity at the levelof soul and mind means being rid of alldisorders. When a person is purified then one could

see God in his own self. And so we couldcreate ailment, addiction free, cultural vil-lages complete with our ancient heritage.Similarly this plan has an economical sidealso, where in it would be kept in mindthat none of the villager would have tostarve, every villager will have some sortof employment. A complete concept hasbeen prepared to make independent andself-sustaining villages. Under this con-cept farmers would be trained for organicfarming. They would be trained to prepareorganic manure along with indigenoushigh quality seeds so that MNC's workingin agricultural industry could not deceitour farmers in future. Farmers would beprovided markets with good rates for theirproduce. This is just a beginning. Apart from this we are also concentratingon water management, at present the situ-ation is quite unpredictable. Ifone part of country is fight-ing droughts then somepart is submergedunder floods, hencewe need to concen-trate on watermanagement withpriority. Under thiswe would makesure that watermeant for agriculturewould be used in farmlands where as for domesticpurpose would be utilsed in thehomes across all villages. We have a targetfor irrigation and electricity to the farmersthroughout the year for maximum harvest. And in order to take prosperity to the vil-lage level, we would be promoting medic-inal herbs, fruits and flowers as crops. Onthe same front we would also impart freeeducation for waste management in orderto change the current scenarios of Indianvillages.

Plenary devel-opment ofIndia is possi-ble through vil-lage develop-ment only …

tradition is considered to be the oldest and everlasting tradition. A state-ment by Charak rishi - Soayamayurvedah shashvato nirishyate anadi-

For example when someone suffers from stomach ache, is advised to haveajvayan, hingg and other such herbs. When someone suffers from cold, cough andthroat ailment, is advised to take tea prepared by adding ginger, tulsi, black pepper orto take ginger and honey. In case of body ache and minor injury, one is advised to takemilk with haldi. All these concoctions are part of ayurveda only

But it's unfortu-nate and equally hurting that suchharmless mode of medication, whichfinds its roots in forests, agriculturalfields and kitchen is not finding sup-port from the government. It was atough challenge to encourage peopleto adopt our traditional medicationover modern medication, when theletter's influence in ordinary illnesswas being readily adopted. At last, the era of Ayurvedic medica-tion is returning and soon, not onlythe leaders of the nation but also thepeople world over, would accept theimportance of Ayurved and adopt thismode of medication. Only a fewyears ago, who would have thoughtthat people belonging to elite classwould look for Loki ki sabji, juice

What is the roadmap for elimi-nation of corruption? As it hasmade deep roots in the society! Swami RamdevCorruption, decorum, virtue orhonesty, improbity all start fromthe top and spread towards bot-tom. The central governmentwould have to take the initial stepsfirst, an independent institutionshould be made to bring theombudsmen bill and to implementit, which should be like the centralvigilance committee and shouldnot act as a government puppet. Itshould be given rights to prosecuteany corrupt leader or officer.People having 20-25 years of hon-est Civil Services should be cho-sen in a process which is same asselecting the Chief Justice in theSupreme Court is one of the way,and the second way out is internallaws to fight corruption should bemade at State level. But, if the cen-tral government is taking time thenstate governments should takenecessary steps in this direction.

Unfortunately all the developingand poor nations have corruptionto blame for their current prob-lems. Until corruption is eliminat-ed, India could not stand on itsown with self-respect.

How far do you agree with thisstatement that corruption hasbecome the way of living in ourcountry?Swami RamdevI do not agree with this that, cor-ruption is incorporated in all ourpores! Who is involved in corrup-tion and who is corrupt? Howcould a worker be corrupt?Primarily political and administra-tive people at various positions areinvolved in corruption. And, so Ido not believe corruption is asocial problem, I purely consider itas a political problem. To stop itwe should also implement strongand strict laws, as in China the lawbreakers and rapists are awardeddeath sentences and even have topay the cost of bullets claimingtheir lives in the form of taxesfrom them. Why can't we havesuch laws in India?

Corruption is the biggest problemin development of our country andin order to uproot it Swami

Ramdev has started a movementunder the banner of BharatSwabhiman and he is hopeful thathonest and moral people of Indiawould help him out to bring alonga complete change in the presentsystem.

People do not seem to be both-ered, whether corruption wouldever become an issue?Swami RamdevPublic is agitated against corrup-tion, one could see it themselves inour camps, every day lakhs of peo-ple are treated and when they areasked about corruption, their agi-tation comes to the fore, we do notwant their agitation to turn bloody. We have to use the political stagethrough our democratic proce-dures and we would remove thosewho are corrupt or involved in cor-ruption from the government.

Whether Economic activitieswould not be affected by ban-ning currency notes of higherdenomination?Swami RamdevPeople consisting of farmers, laborers or small scale business-men who have accumulatedwealth honestly should be paidback with notes of smaller denom-ination against notes of higherdenomination. We have to do twothings at the same time to achieveit, first declaring a cap to theextent one could convert orexchange notes of higher denomi-nation without any taxes to thatextent and second we have toreduce taxes. We have 64 types oftaxes and current rate of 30-35 %of tax is also a reason for the accu-mulation of black money, in thisscenario we have to keep just 2-3types of taxes only and also have

days Ramdev Ji is on Bharat Swabhiman Rally, he emphasises on moral regenerationalong with practicing pranayaam in the yoga camps organised under this rally. He hasalready started a war against corruption and is openly challenging the government.Important excerpts on eliminating corruption from his interview with Hemnath Jha:

to improve taxation system, whichwould not affect the current busi-nesses too.

Irrespective of being right orleft, on achieving the power theyare governed by consumerism ormarket capitalization. What isthe guarantee that you wouldstill be supporting indigenouscauses?Swami RamdevSee, I have raised the concerns forindigenous movement or ideolo-gies 20 years back but then it didnot proved to be relevant, buttoday we do not lack of profes-sionals. Most of the top multina-tional companies have Indian pro-fessionals leading them. EveryMNC working in India has anIndia as their CEO irrespective ofthe industry that they are workingin, be it any T.V company, H.L.L,Pepsi or Coke... These companiesbring a little with them in terms offinancial investment, rest isarranged or generated from hereitself. We have enough naturalresources and 99% technology isour own and even if we wouldrequire technology we could pur-chase it, then where comes thequestion of issues with beingindigenous? But we have to havestrong will power, as most of thetop notch bureaucrats are workingon the signals of these companiesand earn dividends from them. TheAmerican and British companiesare the agents of their govern-ments and unfortunately we couldnot see this simple equation. Theideology of indigenous only couldmake someone independent other-wise no one would be able to savethe country from the economicalslavery. We were earlier madeslaves geographically and now it is

being conspired to slave us eco-nomically, we have to save our-selves from it.

Corruption is divided in higheror lower levels, whether this cat-egorization is correct? Swami RamdevCorruption is corruption in anyform or at any level so it should beacted upon in the same way. It issimilar to misconduct as it is irre-spective of who suffers it, it justremains misconduct. So anyonewhosoever it may be, the corruptshould be brought under the samelaw, unfortunately it is so partial atthe moment.

Why can't we just concentrateon behavioral correction, whichyou are already doing throughyoga! Can the corrupt not becorrected with spiritualism?Swami RamdevYes, I agree that dishonesty startsfrom mind and yoga effectivelychanges the mind. I have alreadysaid that crime of any sort isinauspicious and hence there aretwo ways to prevent corruption. One morality and second the law,so we should try our all resourceswhich we are trying too, idealman, ideal family and ideal sover-eign along with ideal governanceis our prime objective. 99% of ourwork is self and character regener-ation.

Morality is the biggest medium, Iam walking on it. If the wholesociety would turn to violence, dishonesty and despoilment, thecountry would not survive evenfor one day.

Basically whether corruption isa political problem or a moralproblem?Swami RamdevI agree that corruption starts frommind, but it is a problem of bothtypes. And we need a political ini-tiation to end it. 99% corruption isdone through political mediumsand just 1% at the social level.Even then with political will andstrict laws we could curb it 100%.

Corruption hasdeep roots inour country……the biggestobstacle indevelopment iscorruption andto uproot itSwami RamdevJi has initiateda movementunder the ban-ner of BharatSwabhimanand he hopesall the honestresidents withunblemishedcharacterwould help himin changing thecurrent corruptsystem.

It is a matter of pride for the Indian womenthat amidst many problems and obstacles theystill have new rays of hopes and one of theserays is Baba Ramdevji, who have pledged toregenerate India with the equal support fromwomen by giving them respect and raisingself-will and willpower immensely. Beforesetting goals for the next decade, women haveto recall the last decade and their achieve-ments in all fields and thus by raising respectfor womanhood. What else could be of more glory that current-ly the first citizen of our country is women? She for sure is an ideal woman for her sim-

plicity and ease. If we would think minus anypolitical bend of mind than for sure she hasmade sure that leader's of powerful nationsacross globe bow to the Indian women.Empowering women comes to fore with themention of first woman I.P.S officer KiranBedi being given charge of Tihar Jail whereshe initiated many concrete plans of directingthe convicts back to respectable working sec-tion of the society. Though she has retiredfrom Police service but she still leads in caus-es related to women empowerment andagainst corruption. She has also joined causesinitiated by Baba Ramdevji. In present pollu-

Power of Indian women

have covered the first decade of the 21st century are strongly knocking on the second decade now. This meeting of these two decades is of self-contemplation and self-realization and it is of utmost

importance in the context women empowerment. Women have progressed impressively in all the fields of life mak-ing their mark and still have to cover long miles. What were our achievements in last decade and in which direc-tion should we proceed from here on? Now we have to decide on what would be our goals in the second decade?

We

tion is a major concern and women had to playan important role in preserving environment.Sunita Narayan is also one of those womenfrom the last decade who on their own foughtagainst cold drink companies affecting gener-al health. This is a reason why her firm by thename of 'Centre for Science and Environment'creates panic amongst most of the pollutinginstitutions and industrial families associatedwith them.

In the last decade Indian women have alsoplaced themselves strongly in the businessfield. Naina Lal Kidwai leading H.S.B.C hasbeen awarded with 'Padmshri' for her appeas-ing work in this industry. It is a matter of pridethat she is the first of all leading an interna-tional bank. We would always recall KalpanaChawla in the field of scientific accomplish-ments and there are many more names joiningKalpana Chawla. Dr. Jatinder Kaur fromPunjab has been felicitated for her associationin the field of promoting rural women. The success related with these names is a solidfoundation for the bright future and in presentscenario Indian women is on pinnacle in everyfield in any direction. Leader of legislativeassembly Meera Kumar, Leader of U.P.ASonia Gandhi, Leader of opposition SushmaSwaraj, Chief Ministers Mayawati and SheelaDixit are few other names. And in the comingdecade women would be sharing 1/3 of theadministrative governance. Even though the journey of women to top waschallenging and the challenges would notdecrease but Indian women could tackle withany situation with their abundant energies. Wejust need to awaken their self confidence andself respect. The present women couldachieve any peak and if they could set theirgoal for 2020, this decade would be the gold-en era for Indian women. For sure the currentwoman is becoming self dependent mentallyand economically. Heading on this way wehave to make sure that social and nationalgoals are also achieved. We all should ensurethat not a single girl child is illiterate. On the strong foundation of education shecould lead everyone in the right direction, though the last decade was good in terms ofachievements but it averaged in terms ofimparting education to women. The rate of lit-eracy in women is still 50%. And if we haveto awaken the women power we have to initi-

ate it from the rural level. We are blessed thatwe have Ramdev ji leading us into the rightdirection. His dream of corruption less, pros-perous India could only be achieved withincreased contribution from women.

Irrespective of theera, women haveproved themselves noless then men in anyfield provided theywere given equalopportunities forprogress and devel-opment…

…if seen in theright context, women lead menin redeemingtheir responsibili-ties at home andat office simulta-neously. She justneeds an equalopportunity.

The three gems who were made immor-tal by being hanged on 23rd March,1931 included, Bhagat Singh, Rajguruand Sukhdev. They were for sure gemsin their own forms. Bhagat Singh was aPhilosopher, Sukhdev was a organiserand Rajguru was a sharp shooter. A treatment of cancerusing raw linseed oil mixed withcheese and anti-cancer fruits andvegetables has also been devel-oped. It is true that in the moderntimes the food would work asmedicine. Important treatments andprecautions: It is of utmost importance that

all food products used in treat-ing cancer should be fresh, bio-logical and electron rich.

Linseed should be grinded onlywhen required. Keeping itgrinded is wasting it. Linseedoil deteriorates over 42 degreeCelsius and should be prevent-ed from light and oxygen. Itshould be stored in darkcoloured container under deeprefrigeration.

Herbal tea should be taken atleast 3 times a day.

Sunlight is necessary in treatingcancer. One should get sun rayswhich gives Vitamin-D andenergy.

Pranayam, meditation and lightexercises or yoga is suggested.

Only clean and purified watershould be consumed.

Dental care is of utmost impor-tance and teeth should be safe-guarded against infections.

As per ayurveda bile, air, phlegmare chief pillars to hold body andfood, sleep and celibacy are subpillars to hold body. Heart has beentermed as the spot containing con-sciousness but when it is filled withdarkness then a man goes to sleep.Light is the reason behind awak-ened state and darkness behindsleep. Food has been termed at firstand sleep at the second spot in life.As per ancient texts sleep has beendescribed as the illusionary imageof Lord Vishnu, also termed as'SIN' as it controls all. Sleep hascome out of darkness and darknessis the basis of sleep, insanity andsin. The sleep that we get at night isalso termed as 'nature influencing'.Here sleep is explained on the basis

is the name of the process of attitude of abandon-ment of all subjects. When a tired mind and all its

senses are relieved of all their subjects, then a humanachieves sleep. As per the formulae 1/10 in yoga

Acharya Charak has divided sleep in 7 forms:-

1. TAMOBHAVA - Sleep induceddue to darkness

2. SHLESMSAMUDBHAVA -Sleep induced due to phlegm

3. MAN SHRAMSAMBHAVA -Sleep induced due to intellectu-al disturbance

4. SHAREER SHRAMSAMB-HAVA - Sleep induced due tophysical tiredness

5. AAGANTUKI - Sleep induceddue to laziness or intoxication

6. VYADHYANUVARTANI -Sleep induced due to diseasesor ailments

7. RAATRISWABHAAVPRAB-HVA - Sleep induced due tonatural reasons

The bodyheals itself with the naturallyinduced sleep as it increases agealso. Proper sleep is suggested tolive healthy, happy and content life. Duration of sleep changes with age, work, habit and nature. For a onemonth old baby - 21 hrs, for a 6month old baby - 18 hrs, for 1 yearold baby - 15 hrs, for an adult - 7hrs and a lady should take at least 8hour sleep. It gets reduced with oldage. One should not stay awake atnight as it causes irritation andshould not sleep during the daytime as it causes emotional distress.A person who has stayed awake atnight should sleep half of the nextday and people indulging in fattyfood should not sleep during theday time. Avoiding sleep maycause yawning, muscle tension etc.Anger, distress, intoxication andhurt take's the sleep away.Normally phlegm and darknessinduces sleep, sensual bile and airtogether creates illusion. The goal of yoga is to attain salvation from life in this worlditself, we have to live in this world only without any attach-ment…

… Not because we need to be liberated or for some other reasons. Butthis is the will of the God residing inside us. One who is free from liv-ing cycle also has to face the supreme one for self exaltation.

Shree Arvind

supreme one is a sovereignthat exists in all forms and for

ages and hence could not be describedor explained in any language of knowl-edge. One could define and know infi-nite but could not that exists in us all.All pure (true/existing) or impure(untrue/non-existing) material is the sym-bol of his existence which exists every-where and we could know him to an extentthese materials directs us towards him. Buteven knowing it all is not equivalent toknowing its presence. One could becomethe supreme soul but could not know it.Becoming the supreme one means toreturn back to its symbols or idols as youare it, just in this physical cover that wecall body. Hence in order to become asymbol or idol less supreme one you haveto denounce your own existence.By becoming such supreme one whichexists minus all self symbols you do notbecome something that you are not since

the beginning neither does the world stopsit's functioning. It simply means that Godhas brought one of its own streams out ofthe sea of consciousness back into thatsovereign from where this whole con-sciousness has sprouted. All those, who leaves the world con-sciousness does not necessarily enter thesupreme consciousness. Some enter nonsuperficial nature, some get assimilatedinto God, some enter darkness, some reachto the state of enlightenment, in the base ofit all and some enter into the state ofextreme happiness of non permanent phys-ical abstracts of deep sleep. All these arethe forms of salvation and one gets guidedto any one of these depending upon theirnature with the will of God. And few arethose whom the God decides to achievesalvation but still remain in the world stayhere for some time wearing the veil ofsupreme illiteracy which they could get ridof at any instance as it never keeps themtied.Hence to have aspirations of achieving thesupreme state is an illusion because nei-ther one is tied nor any one is free. It is justa play of God and we all are playing ourparts of being his representative. But thegoal of yoga is to attain salvation from lifein this world itself, we have to live in thisworld only without any attachment notbecause we need to be liberated or forsome other reasons. The mes-sage that one returns from that edge with isthat - 'it is' (supreme one is - tat sat) and weare that supreme one too, but could notexpress what it is. As the supreme one iseverywhere, one can not define it, it is ineverything and everywhere. It is some-thing which is represented either partiallyor wholly by it all and when we say that, this is not supreme one we simply mean tosay, it could not be limited to a mere objector a group of objects. It is a non-debatablesubject as it is in everything and every-where and debate could be organised for aspecific object or shape. And if we say thatthe supreme one do not represents anyobject then also we are irrelevant as we donot know what it is? Where it doesn'texist? What it could do? Or what it can'tdo? Or whether it has limited capacities? When we achieve the spiritual experiencewe reach closer to the supreme one orwhen we go beyond all means we reachcloser to the spiritual experience of thesupreme one. We experience that thisworld is just a representation of thesupreme one and it draws out of him only.We should not fall into debate over whatother have experienced as the supreme onecould not be defined in any whatsoeverlanguage, he is far beyond it all. Insteadwe should accept what others have to sayand have to decide for ourselves, where itbelongs? Our fight is with those who donot give others space to express theirviews or ideologies and we are not fight-ing with those who are content with theirown version of ideologies and experi-ences.Any philosophical or religious system orexpedient is just an expression of thatgroup which the God has presented uswith. These systems have been in theirplace so that we could have some basewhile performing our natural tasks. But itis not necessary that our version shouldexactly match with that of others. Hencewe should have an intellectual version, determined faith on our system, minus

Stones in Gall bladder

Vaidya ArunPandeyPatanjaliYogpeeth,Haridwar

not allow them to decay there. Large intes-tines produce gas if bile is not mixed prop-erly with the food. GallstonesStones in gallbladder are mostly seen inwomen rather than men. Gallstones aresolid particles that take form from bile inthe gallbladder. Mostly, in women agingbetween 40-45 and suffering with obesitytaking much carbohydrates and fats gall-stones are seen. Gallstones can be of anysize, from tiny as a grain of sand to large asa Acrot and egg. And their number alsovaries. They can be one to fifty or hundredtogether. Newly formed stones are wet. These stones are seen in many colours likeblack, green, white and ash etc. ReasonsThere are so many reasons for the gall-stone- formation.

If bile is stored for long time, it thick-ens 5-19 times. If it continuously thick-ening like this, then bacteria rise in it.Then that bile forms and scatters itselfin different sizes. And these are calledgallstones.

Stones are seen in the persons whodoes not do any exercise and usuallysits most of the time without doing anywork. And if bile is stored for a longtime it causes inflammation, secretionof unwanted fluids. These fluids formlayer by layer and thus takes the for-mation of gallstones and it is mostlyseen in obese persons.

If some disorders are there in liver, bilewould not be formed properly. If bilesalts are in lesser proportion, than isneeded, if the cholesterol measuresmore, if cholesterol precipitates areaccumulated in the bottom part of thegallbladder, it settles a layer coveringmucus membrane. Thus the formationof gallstones starts layer by layer.

During pregnancy and in the case ofdiabetes cholesterol levels areincreased. This may lead to the forma-tion of gallstones.

Unbalanced diet, unnatural regimenmay lead the cause of stone formation.Food menu which contains more oxal-ic acids is also caused for gallstones.gallstones may be formed due to calci-um. More oxalic acids are seen inchocolates, Tea, biscuits, fast foods andbread. Lesser usage of leafy vegeta-bles, Having big quantities of food, constipation, taking lesser quantity of

Gall bladderThe gallbladder is a carrot like sac of 4inches length located under the liver at the9 th rib of the right side of the stomach. Itstores and concentrates bile produced inthe liver. It contains 45 cc bile approxi-mately. When the food goes through thestomach, Gallblader gets pressure and thenthe bile is released. It mixes with the food. When the digestion of food takes place, oily foods like fats and proteins get digest-ed. A healthy gallbladder empties two tothree times a day. When you are not takingany meal, bile remains in gallbladder. Thewater content ot the bile is absorbed by thebody. For that reason bile gets five to tentimes concentric little by little.BileBile or gall is a bitter tasting, yellowishbrown fluid, produced by the liver. Eventhough It is a digestive fluid , it is a dread-ful poison. It is sticky, salty and it containsfats and proteins. Bile is useful in theabsorption of fats in the intestine into thebloodstream. It supports their activation.Bile contains salts, or bilirubin, other bileenzymes, lecithin and cholesterol. And it issecreted by the liver continuously. Thissecretion is somewhat high soon after fin-ishing our meal. Digestion process gosmoothly with the help of some amount ofbile that accumulated in the gallbladder, and some amount go out but most of it isabsorbed by the body. This fluid digests thesubstances in the large intestines. It does

in stomach is much more painful. The pain can only be knownby the patient himself. Suffering in the gallbladder is quite

unbearable to a patient when it is compared to the suffering that occursin the other limbs. That is an unusual pain. It is like living in a hell. Thisdisease completely depends upon the food we take. Gallstones attack ourdigestive system. we can not take every kind of food we want as we don’tforget that suffering. The stones rise unexpectedly. That is an intolerableagony which makes patient cry.

water, giving much preference to nonvegetarian etc. are the reasons of gall-stones.

• Excess sleep, Intoxication, white dis-charge, mental pressure, feeble pulserate leads to liver disorders. Bile issticky, concentric and highly poison-ous in a liver patient. This bile entersinto the gallblader and cause forinflammation there. This imperfect bileand kapha (phlegm) get dried soon. They become gallstones and continu-ously increase their number there.

• Bile salts and cholesterol should be ina ratio of 25:1. If it decreases to 13:1because of the disorders, then the cho-lesterol waste accumulates, whichcauses gallstones.

• If the bile’s flow is obstructed, thenbile gets thickened in gallblader. If it isinfected there phlegm is formed andthat causes the formation of gallstones.

Symptomspatient suffers an unbearable pain when thestones obstruct the way of bile flow way.Pain starts right in the below of the rightside of the liver. And it extends upto thebottom part of the shoulder. Body releasescool sweat. Patient would suffer for longspells. After a great suffering the paincalms down all by itself.

• Inflammation in stomach and its sur-rounding limbs.

• Sometimes pnemonia attacks. Bodytemparature reaches upto 1020degrees. Symptoms of jaundice may beseen in such condition.

Treatment

During the time of sufferingIn the modern times there are so many painkillers and injections are available. By giv-ing pain killers patient gets released fromthe pain. But the stones would exist thereitself.

• Soak the towel in hot water. Change itoften. Hot water bottle may also beuseful.

• Take one letre of water adding a littleof salt and lemon juice. You can con-tinue this treatment for every fifteenminutes upto get relief from the pain.Patient should not be given anything toeat or drink while he was goingthrough the pain.

• When the symptoms of suffering are

observed, Enema and Kati-snana arepreffered.

• Take rest where the air flow is appro-priate. Fasting should be observed uptoregaining health. If the patient vomits, give him a piece of ice. Don’t give himwater.

• Should be given nutrient diet and hotwater.

After get relieved from the pain• Try to follow regimen, to avoid consti-

pation.

• Should give hot - cold fomentationeveryday on stomach and give enema.

• Should take vapour-bath. Wrap weistwith a towel that is soaked in hot water.

• Do exercises and pranayam. Do massagein the area of liver.

• Practice one day fasting in a week. Takelemon water or fruit juice that day.

• Avoid milk, cream, paneer, ghee etc.fatty substances.

• Fresh vegetables, Horse gram pulse,Leafy vegetable curry, buttermilk with-out cream, honey fruit salad, rose-apple, pip of rose apple are the bene-ficiery in the ailment of gallstones.

• Non-vegetarian meal, fried curries, takingextra food, dry fruits are not to betaken. Spicy, exciting substances,Intoxication are avoidable. This is poi-sonous to health.

• Take cucumber, carrot, bottle gourd, papaya, raddish, lemon water etc.should be given to drink.

• Drink water early in the morning with anempty stomach. Take meal two times aday along with two spoonful withAsafetida powder and at the night timetake Triphala powder 5 grams andHaritaki (myrobalan) powder 2 spoon-fuls with hot water.

• Practice Yogasana , Halasana,Dhanurasana, Bhujangasana,Shalabhasana, Paschimottanasana,Sarvangasana and pranayam regularly.And practice 11 times Surya Namaskareveryday.

Gallstones give an explosive effect to thestomach. It is always dangerous, if weneglect them. If one knows that he hasstones in gallblader, he should go forthe treatment and this is quite curable

disease. •

Yoga and pranayam couldcure all diseases-Swami Ramdev ji

Bardhman| Baba is not just making people adopt yogafor personal development and to cull negative mentalityand to pray to God to refurbish all with energy necessaryfor living but also highlighting the importance of posi-tive thinking, strong will power and faith on God.Communal harmony and patriotism is also discussed inthe camps these days and now he is also raising concernsagainst female feticides and dowry. The camp started with the sounds of Omkar and Gayatrimantra after which he performed many yoga posturesand pranayam along with discussing safety measuresagainst many diseases. He did and explained bhastrika, kapalbhati, ujjayi and anulom-vilom pranayam. Hetermed bhastrika as the cure for common cold, respirato-ry diseases, asthma, sinus etc and kapalbhati as the curefor heart, lungs, brain, obesity, acidity, gall ailments andcough. Regularly following these pranayam's could clear30 to 40 percent blockage and also generates positivethoughts which in continuation purifies physical, mental, thinking and culture. He also demonstrated andexplained bhujangasan and pawan muktasan.Swamiji said we do not need to ask anything from Godas he knows it all, he has already given us a lot so weshould work and should not attach our expectations, asGod would bless us with the right result for our work ashe is the lord of the world. We should accept his will asit is. Yoga should be done with ease and Baba ji consid-ers corruption as a mental illness as it is born out of lustfor money and human lose their morals, ideals andeverything for it. Yoga could cure this problems also asit is a lifestyle which prevents you from indulging inwrong deeds. He said an impatient mind is the reason forinsecurity and distrust.

How grave is the scenario! What use could money be put toif one is not healthy? These con-sequences have come to foredue to excessive indulgence infood minus yoga, as such anindulgence is accompanied withailments only. Post independencewe have made progress for sure but on the same hand the problemshave increased too. We are still suffering from poverty, starvation, illit-eracy, malnutrition etc. Our biggest problem is corruption and SwamiRamdev ji awakening masses against it through his national rallies. Ashe believes no religion is over the national religion and no God is big-ger than the country itself. The national interest tops it all and we wouldachieve it by aligning one and all with yoga. Aacharya ji further stated that we all could follow the national religionwith the help of yoga by staying healthy and sane and called forinvolvement in the Bharat Swabhiman Movement. As we wouldachieve the true freedom through it and India would once again be glo-rified.
