He who is without sin? Sin is re-fusing to practice Yahwehs Laws.This is very plainly shown in:

7 Little children, let no man deceiveyou; he who practices Righteousnessis Righteous, just as He is Righteous.

The pope says, if a man whopractices sodomy is seeking theLord, who is he to judge the man?

What could this mean? Does hemean the man is seeking a place in

Yahwehs Kingdom or His House,

prac tice them.I Corinthians 6:9-109 Do you not know that the unrigh-

teous will not inherit the Kingdom of Yahweh? Do not deceive yourselves.Neither fornicators, nor godworship-ers (worshipers of elohim), nor adul-terers, nor men who com mit sexualperversions with boys, nor men whocommit sexual perversions with othermen,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nordrunkards, nor revilers, nor extor-tioners, will inherit the Kingdom of

Yahweh.

So, when Pope Francis says, if a manis seeking the Lord, does he meanthe man is seeking justi cation? If

so, notice:Romans 2:13

For not the hearers of theLaws are just before Yahweh,but the doers of the Laws are

justi ed .

If he truly wants to be justi ed, he must repent of refus -ing to practice Yahwehs Laws ofRighteuosness. Notice the wordsof the Apostles. They are not hardto understand.

Acts 3:19Repent therefore, and be converted,

that your sins may be blotted out; thattimes of re freshing may come from thePresence of Yahweh.

Your sins are not forgiven until

you get on the straight and narrowpath by practicing Yahwehs Lawsof Righteousness. The wages ofsin is death.Romans 6:23

You are also guilty of the Prophecyshown in Revelation 17 . You rep-resent the city that sits on sevenhills that has brought lth uponthe earth.

There are no winners in the wars you are ghting.

Wars, not of your making butyou think you must fght themanyway.

Yahwehs Way was taken frommankind because it was rejected.So Yahweh said that He wouldallow mankind to go his own wayfrst and show him what his endwould be.

In this generation, anyonecan see what rejecting YahwehsLaws has brought to all nations.

Yahwehs Laws teach health, joy,and peace, none of which arepresent in the world today. Why do we not have healthyminds and bodies? Why do we

not have joyous living? Why areour lives being continuouslybombarded with sickness, dis-ease, cancer and STDs? Why arechildren being born with all kindsof deformities and diseases of allkinds that kill them young? The absolute truth is this,everyone in the world has allbeen taught the same thing -- toavoid the Laws of health, joy, and

peace. I am now offering you theLaws that will bring you all three- health, joyous living, and lastingpeace. Please read this whole ar-ticle, or you will not understandthe Great Power behind thisPerfect Way that I will show you. I ask that you take a look atwhat you have accomplished

War, notonly brought a miserable futureto Cain, but to all those who fol-lowed him, which have been allnations, peoples, and languages. One of the twelve Disciplesof Yahshua Messiah, Yahdah byname, was inspired to write:

gone in the way of Cain, have rungreedily in the error of Balaamfor reward, and have perished inthe rebellion of Korah!

For his act of choosing war,

Yahweh said to Cain:Genesis 4:14

Surely You have driven me outthis day from the face of theground; I shall not be seen by

Your Face. I shall be a fugitiveand a vagabond on the earth,for there shall be continual war,vengeance, and retaliation.

Why protection, and from what

will Yahweh protect us?Please study this carefully. Foralmost 6,000 years of manshistory, there were no automobiles,airplanes, rockets or bombs. Duringthose years, mankind traveled by

wagon, horses, camels, or mules.I repeat, cars, planes, rockets,and bombs came into existencein my generation by permission of

Yahwehs Prophets. Knowledge was not increaseduntil this generation. People werestill traveling and doing all kindsof work with horses and wagons

when I was born in 1934. Bombs, planes, and missiles

were not present in Moshehs day,around 1,500 to 1,400 BCE. How-ever, Mosheh prophesied aboutthe nuclear bomb, and died about3,434 years before technology wasgiven to mankind to build such

weapons of destruction. Mosheh was only a man. Man-kind does not have the power toforetell the future. Yahweh, the Creator, inspired

Mosheh to describe the power that will destroy the largest percentageof mankind in history. This meansthat Yahweh controls the time thatthese devices of nuclear destruc-tion would be made and used. When will they be used? Man

now has them. They were onlyable to make them in this genera-tion. But does anyone know whenthey will be used? Its all in thesame Plan of Yahweh, the Planthat shows technology knowledge

Yahwehs Prophet Daniyl(607 to 531 BCE)

Daniyl, the Great Prophet of Yah weh, l ived near ly threethousand years before thislast generation; yet, he wroteProphecies concerning this lastgeneration of mans governmentsof and by the people. Daniyl wrote of the greatesttime of trouble that would ever beallowed to be brought by mansgovernments of and by the people.Those Prophecies are recorded in:Daniyl 12:1-4

1 And at that time, one who is like Yahweh will stand up at Abel; Yisrayl,the Great Priest, who stands at Abelto teach Yahwehs Just, Perfect Lawsto the children of Your People; and

there will be a time of trouble, suchas never was since there was a nationto that same time. And at that time,

The End, the last genera-tion is when all these takeplace

You are about to see all four ofthem in this generation. In verse1, we see a time of trouble greaterthan anything in history. Verse 4 ,shows this Prophecy would notbe revealed until The End. Verse2 shows this to be the time of theresurrection of the dead. Verse 3 shows for that time period, whichis this present and last generation,there will be many turned toRighteousness. Notice:Daniyl 12:3

And those who are wise will shineas the brightness of the heavens; andthose who turn many to Righteous-ness, as the stars forever and ever.

Righteousness? Righteousness isnot what the religions of the worldare practicing today. In fact, theyhave all gone the way of Cain andhave rebelled like Korah, as youcan read in:

Yahdah 1:11 Woe to them! For they have gone

in the way of Cain, have run greedilyin the error of Balaam for reward,and have perished in the rebellionof Korah!

Righteousness is:Deuteronomy 6:1, 5-7, 25

1 Now these are the Laws, theStatutes, and the Judgments which

Yahweh your Father has commandedme to teach you: so that you may

observe them in the land you arecrossing over to possess;

5 And you must love Yahweh yourFather with all your heart, and withall your soul, and with all your might.

6 And these Laws which I com-mand you this day must be in yourheart;

7 And you must teach them dili-gently to your children, and talk about

them when you sit in your house, and when you walk on the road, and whenyou lie down, and when you rise up.

25 And it will be our Righteousnessif we observe to do all of these Lawsbefore Yahweh our Father, as He hascommanded us.

Christianity teaches that theSavior did away with the Laws ofRighteousness. But the Savior saidthe following, which proves themto be liars:Mattithyah 19:17

But He said to him: Why do youquestion Me about Righteousness?There is only One Who is the Stan-dard of Perfection, and He is Yahweh;so if you would enter into Life, keepthe Laws of Yahweh.

In the last Revelation given tomankind, the Savior said:Revelation 22:12-14

46 Which of you convicts Me of sin?So if I speak the Truth, why do you

not believe Me?47 He who is of Yahweh, hears Yahwehs Words; the Laws and the Prophets. Now you do not hear, be-cause you are not of Yahweh.

From the above, we see it is Satan who is leading the nations in war,as she led Cain in the very begin-ning. Compare also:I Yahchanan 3:12-15

12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and murdered his brother. And why did he murder his brother?Because his works were evil, and hisbrothers were Righteous.

13 Do not marvel, my brothers, ifthe world hates you.

14 We know that we have passedfrom death to life, because we lovethe brothers. He who does not lovehis neighbor abides in death.

15 Whoever hates his neighbor is amurderer; and you know that no mur-derer has Eternal Life abiding in him.

We Can Stop School Violence, We Can Also Stop Wars!

It seems kind of strange to be rejoicing in the House, but the fact is,

the reason we rejoice before Yahwehis because He has a Plan to stop all ofthis trouble that we see taking place.So we have room to rejoice! In fact,He tells us to.

You saw the news, you saw theshape the world is getting into. Andtheyre saying that the things that arefeared are now on the horizon and

we can see that things more dreadfulthan these even are going to cometo pass. And of course, unless some-thing is done now, if it had been done

when I rst brought out the causeof these school shootings, we couldhave had it turned around by now.

But Yahweh says the world is goingto reject the cure for school shoot-ings, for wars, for hatred. The nextthing youll probably hear is disar-mament. And, of course, I agree withthat. I think we should start rst withthe military, and then we should go

to the police force. The citizens then,they will disarm themselves. Theyll

beat their swords into plowsharesand their spears into pruning hooksif well just do the other.

The only thing thats going to helpthis is education.

There are no answers in the world.There is an answer, and The Houseof Yahweh is the only one that hasthe answer. Its called education. Ed-ucation is the answer. Thats the an-swer, not what youre nding in theschools. Thats not the answer.

Now we do know that educationin the Peaceful Solution Character

Education Program starts to workimmediately on these minds. Even

when theyre sick, it starts to workimmediately. This has been proven.Its been proven in the prisons, in theschools. Disorderly children, bully-ing, and so forth, its corrected all ofit in just a few short lessons. And theteachers are saying theyre absolutely

amazed. It even stops stealing, theysaid, in the schools.

Yahweh shows that what youchoose to practice changes the DNAin that direction. Your genes are inthis way transferred to your offspringand your seed.

Well, ifyoure practicing Righteousness,youre changing your genes to Righ-teousness. What is Righteousness?Thats the Laws of Yahweh. Sin is thebreaking of those Laws; Righteous-ness is keeping them.

And then He says, dont let anyman deceive you. Dont let any mandeceive you, he who practices Righ-teousness becomes Righteous justas Yahweh is Righteous. The worldis only educated in vocation. Theyspend all their lives in this, vocationand thrills.

And the vocation that the childrenare learning right now, its nothing.It amounts to nothing in Righteous-ness. It doesnt teach anything about

Righteousness. It teaches you howto work for a corporation, thats all.The skills that you learn could easilybe jerked out from under you. Thatshow uncertain it is.

Thats whats been going on in the world now since about 1941. And what youre seeing, the results is rightnow, they cant see around the cor-

ner, they cant see over the hill. Andtheyve got a problem here in front ofthem that is eating them up and theydont know what to do. They dontknow how to study out the problem.They dont know any solutions be-cause they havent been taught any-thing except vocation, trade, or someskill or something.

Thats all thats going on in theschools. Theres no Righteousnessbeing taught there. You cant evenhang the Ten Commandments on the

wall in a school. Its illegal. Its illegalto teach Yahwehs Way to your chil-dren. Yes, and thats in America.

Well, in teaching this and not teach-ing a person character education,how to make the right decisions, howto get over a problem when you havea problem, how to get by it. Some-ones bullying you? Character edu-cation has the problem solved. It hasthe answer to the problem. It has theanswer to every problem. Education

is the answer.Disarmament? Yes, but that wontgo very far. Take the guns away. Twen-ty people in Japan were stabbed withknives. Youre gonna have to educatethem because if you take one away,theyre gonna get a weapon from theother unless you educate them in thefact that they dont need weapons.

Our government in the UnitedStates needs education in that eld.

While theyre talking about peace,theyre improving their bombs thatthey want to use on other countries.

Well, what are the other countriesdoing? They see this. And they said,Well, do you mean this treaty thatyou signed dont mean anything?Oh, yeah, were gonna disarm. Youdo it rst though and then we will.

Well, this is the confusion that were facing now, all over the world.Religion, what do they teach? They

teach you the same thing the mov-ies teach you, how to kill, that youshould be patriotic to your country. Ifthey want you to murder, go out andmurder, but do it according to theirguidelines. what they tell you.The movies are teaching our chil-dren more than the parents are. Thetelevisions, the computer, theyregetting it all from that point rightthere. Thats the reason their atten-tion spans are zilch, just dots hereand there. Theyve got a problem athome, with a brother, with a dad,

with a mother, they dont know any-thing about how to solve it.

Its a sad thing. Its a sad, sad thing.But Yahweh says that Im going to letthem go their way and nothing is gon-na be withheld from them. They dont

want to retain this Knowledge, thenlet it be taken from them. Well, theyquickly pushed it aside and they de-

veloped these reprobate minds, fullof anger like Cain. All the world hasgone the way of Cain. Thats what

Yaaqob said. All the world has gone the way of

Cain. And thats what were seeing inthe world today.

What were facing right now, itsnot going to stop. They dont haveany answers to what is taking placein the world. They dont have any an-swers for the nations either. Theyreas confused as they are about theschool shooting that just took place.The only answer there is, is educa-tion. But not in trades, unless youconsider the teaching of the Peace-

ful Solution Character Education Program a trade. But that is the onlything thats gonna solve this prob-lem; education.

If they would start, now I said thisabout thirty years ago, if you wouldstart now to teaching this, you wouldbe putting in your childrens genesthis Righteous character that Yahwehactually proved through the twelvetribes. is causing this. Its also causing thedroughts, the unnatural disasters totake place, so well get deeper intothis. But, if you would have startedthirty years ago this boy who wastwenty would have had ten yearsof genes that would have went in--Righteous genes being forced into hisbrain. So when he was born he would

have had that to work with. As it is now, there are still no chil-dren in the world that are receivingthe power to make Righteous de-cisions. Its not being taught. Theyteach them in everything there isexcept the Peaceful Solution Char-acter Education Program . And theeducation is in front of them all thetime here. From the time they get upof a morning, this stupid television

where theres nothing but lies thatare brought forth on it.

The movies, even the churches areteaching the same lies. They haventgot sense enough to change. They ha-

vent got sense enough to say, This isa lie in my right hand, Im not goingto do it anymore. Santa Claus didcome down my chimney last night.I saw him ying his sleigh throughthe sky. They showed it on television.Hes being pulled by the same rein-deers. One of them had a shiny nose.

Yes, they go to all kinds of stupidity

to teach lies. What we need to do is set aside alittle time in the world, get the char-acter education program that Imtalking about and start teaching yourchildren. If we got this to all the na-tions right now, think of this, if ourgovernment would take the moneyfrom one bomb that theyre tryingto build, one bomb, they could reachall of these nations over there, alltheir educational ministers with the

Originally,these demonstrations were intended tohonor the faithful departed and to easethe pain of the bereaved. Souling, or Soul-caking, is thecustom descended from pre-Reformationtimes, of going about on All Saints or AllSouls and begging for cakes, in remem-brance of the dead. The Soulers, singingverses inherited from a remote past, arerewarded with soul cakes.

Once soulers of certain villages begantheir rounds with services in the parishchurch, the cakes householders gave werein exchange for prayers for the dead, acharity for the departed. In other words,soul cakes were intended as a bread doleto the community poor. Bon res, to lightsouls out of purgatory, and the ringing ofchurch bells, also characterized old-timeobservances.

In The Book of Festival Holidays ,1964, by Marguerite Ickis, pages 123-

125, we are shown the meaning behindthe traditions of halloween.The custom of holding a festival at harvesttime goes back over two thousand years.The last day of the year on the old pagancalendar, October 31, served the triplepurpose of bidding goodbye to summer,welcoming winter and remembering thedead . The Irish built tremendous bon reson hilltops to offer encouragement to thewaning sun and to provide a warm welcomefor visiting sprites and ghosts that walkedabout in the night. People of the British Isles had the quaintcustom of tossing objects, such as stones,vegetables and nuts, into a bonfire tofrighten away any spooks that mightbe near. These symbolic sacri ces werealso fortune telling props, still widely usedat Halloween parties today. If a pebblea man ung into the re at night was nolonger visible the following morning, peo-ple clucked sympathetically, believing theman wouldnt survive another year. If thenuts tossed by young lovers exploded inthe ames, theirs would be a quarrelsomemarriage, etc. More fearful of spooks than spouses,

folks began hollowing out turnips andpumpkins and placing lighted candles in-side to scare evil spirits from the house.

It was the Irish, too, who initiated thetrick or treat system hundreds of yearsago. Groups of Irish farmers would gofrom house to house soliciting food for thevillage Halloween festivities in the name ofno less a personage than Muck Olla (an-cient god of Irish clergy). Prosperity waspromised to cheerful givers and threats

made against tight sted donors. It was thecustom for English children to dress up ineach others clothes (boys donning girlsout ts and vice versa) and, wearing masks,to go begging from door to door for soulcakes. From The Book of Holidays , 1958, by

J. Walker McSpadden, pages 149-153are displayed here:Halloween, in spite of the fact that ittakes its name from a christian festival(All Hallows or All Saints Day), comesfrom pagan times and has never taken on

a christian signi cance. There were two different festivals in theearly world at this time of year, and theyare both represented in our own Halloweenactivities. When you duck for apples, orthrow an apple paring over your shoulderto see what initial it makes on the oor, youare doing as the Romans didhonoring Po-mona, the Roman goddess of orchards andespecially of apple orchards. And when youlight a candle inside the jeering pumpkinface, you are in a small way imitating theCeltic Druids of northern Britain (describedin the chapter on Saint Patricks Day), wholit a re to scare away winter and the evil

spirits who were waiting to come rushingin when summer was over. On that night between October andNovember , the Druids kindled great reson the hills as a barrier against the evil tocome. (These Halloween res still burnevery year in many places, but especiallyin Scotland and Wales). By waving burningwisps of plaited straw aloft on pitchforks,people tried to frighten off demons andwitches, but just in case this didnt work,they also put on grotesque and terrifyingcostumes. For if you dressed in a horribleenough fashion and went trooping aroundwith the spirits all night, they would thinkyou were one of them, and do you no harm.This is where the persistent Halloween cus-tom of dressing up and wearing masksoriginated; and among the children whocome to the door on Halloween, callingtrick or treat, the most alarming cos-tumes are still considered the best.

When one studies the origins of thecustoms of the christian religion,one comes to the conclusion thatthe pagan worship was not banished

from the world. The strongest paganreligions were just incorporated intochristianity. The book, Strange Stories,

Amazing Facts , 1980, by the ReadersDigest Association, corroborates thisconclusion.

Although Christianity has swept theworld in a relatively short time, as thehistories of great religions go, the early

missionaries faced an uphill task. The pa-gans were reluctant to give up their falsegods and ancient practices. So the missionaries, unable to convertthem easily to an entirely new code ofworship, did the next best thing. Theytook the pagan festivals as they were andgradually grafted the observances of thenew faith onto these festivals and the ritesand customs surrounding them. December 25 was not called Christmasuntil the ninth century. Until then it hadbeen the Midwinter Feast, a combinationof the Norse Yule Festival and the RomanSaturnalia, both of which took place in late

December. Like Christmas and Easter, the festivalof Halloween originated in a pagan cele-bration, even though its name derives fromthe Christian festival of All Hallows or AllSaints Eve. It was introduced in the seventh centuryto commemorate all those saints and mar-tyrs who had no special day to themselvesand was held on May 13. But in the eighthcentury All Hallows Day was moved toNovember 1, to counteract the pagancelebrations held on that date. October 31, the eve of November 1, wasthe last night of the year in the ancientCeltic calendar and was celebrated asthe end of summer and its fruitfulness. Itwas a festival that the Celts of northernEurope marked with bon res, to help thesun through the winter. Winter also called to mind the chill andblackness of the grave, and so it was a timewhen ghosts would walk, and supernaturalspirits, warlocks, and witches would holdtheir revels. Only since the late 18th and early 19thcenturies has Halloween developed into afestive time for children, with costumes,lanterns, and games. Before then it wasregarded as a night of fear, and wise men,respectful of hobgoblins and wandering

demons, stayed indoors. In the 17th and 18th centuries, however,it was customary for guiserspeople inweird masks and costumesto go fromhouse to house, singing and dancing tokeep evil at bay, or to go about as repre-sentations of the ghosts and goblins of thenight. The Halloween lantern, made from a hol-lowed-out pumpkin or turnip with a candleinside it, is a relic from the days when foodofferings were made to the spirits of thedead.

THANKSGIVING D Part Of The Ancient P agan Harvest Festivals

From the propaganda of public schoolsevery American knows how thanks-giving originated. In 1620 the smallband of pilgrims of Plymouth Colonybraved the perilous North Atlanticin quest of religious freedom. Theylanded in November and faced winter

with meager supplies of food that dwin-dled rapidly. Fifty-five of the originalone-hundred two people who came onthe Mayflower died before spring. Be-cause the summer was blessed with rainand the autumn harvest was plentiful,the pilgrim colony, appropriately grate-ful, established a day of thanksgivingand invited the local Indians to sharetheir bounty. Supposedly, this is theorigin of the holiday known as thanks-giving and it is so pure and holy thateveryone can now observe this thanks-giving day with a clear conscience, forsurely this is pleasing to Yahweh. However satisfying it would be topoint to a particular day and say, This

was the first thanksgiving, it definitely would not be the truth. Thanksgiving was not a New England holiday, spring-ing up full grown, completely armed

with roast turkey and cranberry sauce,from the mind of a pilgrim father. This

American holiday gradually grew up inthe unique culture of Puritan New En-gland, an origin more complex than thelegend the public schools have nurturedfor generations.

The Harvest Home

The Encyclopedia Britannica, 1980, Vol-ume 5, tells of harvest home :Harvest Home, also called Ingathering, traditional English harvest festival, celebrat-ed from antiquity and surviving to moderntimes in isolated regions. Participants cel-ebrate the last day of harvest by singing,shouting, and decorating the village withboughs. The cailleac, or last sheaf of corn,which represents the spirit of the eld, ismade into a harvest doll and drenched withwater as a rain charm. This sheaf is saveduntil spring planting.

The ancient festival also included thesymbolic murder of the grain spirit, as wellas rites for expelling the devil.

Observations on the Popular Antiquities of Great Britain, by John Brand, GeorgeBell and Sons, 1908, pages 16-33 gives acomplete description of harvest home.

Alias Mell Supper, Kern or Churn Supper,or Feast of Ingathering

Macrobius tells us that, among the Hea-thens, the heads of families, when they hadgot in their harvest, were wont to feast withtheir servants who had laboured for them intilling the ground. In exact conformity to this,it is common among Christians, when thefruits of the earth are gathered in and laid intheir proper repositories, to provide a plenti-ful supper for the harvest-men and the ser-vants of the family. At this entertainment allare, in the modern revolutionary idea of theword, perfectly equal. Here is no distinctionof persons, but ruler and servant sit at thesame table, converse freely together, andspend the remainder of the night in dancing,singing, and etc. in the most easy familiarity. Bourne thinks the original of both thesecustoms is Jewish, and cites Hospinian, whotells us that the heathens copied after thiscustom of the Jews, and at the end of theharvest offered up their rst fruits to thegods. For the Jews rejoiced and feasted atthe getting in of the harvest. This festivity is undoubtedly of the mostremote antiquity. That men in all nationswhere agriculture flourished should haveexpressed their joy on this occasion by someoutward ceremonies has its foundation inthe nature of things. Sowing is hope; reap-ing, fruition of the expected bounty. To the

husbandman, whom the fear of wet, blights,and etc. has harassed with great anxiety,the completion of his wishes could not failof imparting an enviable feeling of delight.Festivity is but the re ex of inward joy, andit could hardly fail of being produced on thisoccasion, which is a temporary suspension ofevery care. The respect shown to servants at thisseason seems to have sprung from a gratefulsense of their services. Everything dependsat this juncture on their labour and despatch.Vacina (or Vacuna, so called as it is said

a vacando, the tutelar deity, as it were, ofrest and ease), among the ancients, was thename of the goddess to whom rustics sacri-

ced at the conclusion of harvest . Newton, in his Tryall of a Mans owne

Selfe, 1602, p. 54, under Breaches of theSecond Commandments censure, theadorning with garlands or presenting unto anyimage of any Saint, whom thou hast made

speciall choice of to be thy patron and advo-cate, the rstlings of thy increase, as corneand graine, and other oblations .

Moresin tells us the popery, in imitation

of this, brings home her chaplets of corn,which she suspends on poles; that offeringsare made on the altars of her tutelar gods,while thanks are returned for the collectedstores, and prayers are made for future easeand rest. Images, too, of straw or stubble, headds, are wont to be carried about on thisoccasion; and that in England he himself sawthe rustics bringing home in a cart a guremade of corn, round which men and womenwere singing promiscuously, preceded by adrum or piper. In a Journey into England, byPaul Hentzner, in the year 1598, ed. 1757,p.79, speaking of Windsor, he says: As wewere returning to our inn, we met somecountry people celebrating their HarvestHome; their last load of corn they crownwith owers, having besides an image richlydressed, by which perhaps they would signi-fy Ceres: this they would keep moving about,while men and women, men and maid-ser-vants, riding through the streets in the cart,shout as loud as they can till they arrive atthe barn. Hutchinson, in his History of Northum-berland, ii. ad nem, 17, says, I have seenin some places, an image apparelled in great

nery, crowned with owers, a sheaf of cornplaced under her arm, and a scythe in herhand, carried out of the village in the morn-ing of the conclusive reaping day, with musicand much clamour of the reapers, into the

eld, where it stands xed on a pole all day,and when the reaping is done, is broughthome in like manner. This they call the Har-vest Queen, and it represents the RomanCeres. An old woman, who is a respectableauthority on a subject of this nature, at avillage in Northumberland, informed that,not half a century ago, they used everywhereto dress up something similar to the gureabove described at the end of harvest, whichwas called a Harvest Doll, or Kern Baby.

This northern word is plainly a corruption ofCorn Baby, or Image, and is the Kern supper,which we shall presently consider of Cornsupper. In Carews Survey of Cornwall, f. 20b, an ill-kerned or saved harvest occurs.

The American Book of Days , by Jane M.Hatch, 1978, page 1053, tells us:

Although Thanksgiving is one of the mostpopular holidays in the United States,the idea of setting aside a day to ex-press gratitude for good fortune did notoriginate in this country. In ancient timesmany peoples held special festivals in theautumn to give thanks for bountiful har-vests. The Greeks honored Demeter, theirgoddess of agriculture, with a nine-daycelebration, and in a similar fashion theRomans paid tribute to Ceres (identi edwith Demeter). After the crops had beengathered, the Anglo-Saxons rejoiced at aharvest home, which featured a heartyfeast. In Scotland the harvest celebrationwas known as a kirn and included specialchurch services and a substantial dinner.

Celebrations: The Comprehensive Book of American Holidays , by Robert J. My-ers, 1972, pages 271-272, tells us:

The harvest festival, with its attendantrites, seems to have spread out from arelatively small area of land, from Egyptand Syria and Mesopotamia . The rst orthe last sheaf of wheat was offered tothe Great Mother, or the Mother ofthe Wheatfor the earth-power wasessentially a feminine force. Astarte wasthe Earth Mother of the ancient Semites;to the Phrygians she was Semele; underthe name of Demeter she was worshipedby the Greeks at the famous EleusinianMysteries; Ceres, the Roman goddess ofcorn, presided over the October Cerelia.

Our Wonderful World , by Grolier In-corporated, New York, 1966, Volume17, page 220, tells us of the harvestfestivals.

From Rome to the New WorldThe Christians took over the Roman holidayand it became well established in England,where some of the Roman customs and ritu-als for this day were observed long after theRoman Empire had disappeared. In England the harvest home has

been observed continuously for centuries.The custom was to select a harvest queenfor this holiday. She was decorated withthe grain of their elds and the fruit of theirtrees. On Thanksgiving Day she was paradedthrough the streets in a carriage drawn bywhite horses. This was a remnant of the Ro-man ceremonies in honor of Ceres. holiday islikely to continue, the world over, as long asmen obtain their food from the earth. Colliers Encyclopedia , 1980, Volume13, page 309, tells us of Isis, an ancient

Egyptian Goddess who absorbed theattributes of Ernutet (Thermuthis), theharvest Goddess:ISIS [aisis], an ancient Egyptian goddesswhose name may indicate that she wasoriginally a dei cation of the royal throne.In early myth she was regarded as thedaughter of Geb (earth) and Nut (sky) andboth sister and wife of Osiris, to whomshe bore Horus. The Egyptians identi ed

their Pharaohs with Horus; accordingly,the Pharaoh was considered the sonof Isis and the legitimate heir of Osiris.Isis absorbed numerous other divinities,especially the harvest goddess Ernutet(Thermuthis), and was frequently equatedwith the cow-goddess Hathor.

Isis was identified with Hathor, thehorned cow Goddess. The Yearbook of

English Festivals, by Dorothy GladysSpicer, 1954, page 145, shows:Most pleasing of all the decorations arefour spirally woven straw cones hangingfrom the pulpit stand. Each cornucopia istasseled with ears of wheat. Those arehorns of plenty, the old vicar explains.Each year they are loaned as harvestdecorations. They are more than harvest decora-tions, I thought, as I inquired for their own-er. Two old farm hands had fashioned thecornucopias many years before, I learned.Once, I was told, the straw cones wereslipped over the horns of oxen competingin local ploughing meets, suggesting thatthese horns of plenty may have beenassociated originally with fertility rites.Maybe the old countrymen unconsciouslypaid honor to the Corn Spirit by plaitingsymbols from the last sheaf bound at theend of the harvest. Colliers Encyclopedia , Volume 8, page74, tells us of Demeter, the Greek ver-sion of the Egyptian Goddess Isis.

DEMETER [demiter], one of the chiefdeities in Greek cult; in mythology, thedaughter of Cronus and Rhea and thesister of Zeus. She was the corn goddess,and her name has been explained asgrain-mother or earth-mother. Themother of Persephone by Zeus, Demeterleft Olympus when her daughter was

carried off to the underworld by Pluto;lighting torches from Mount Aetna, shesearched for Persephone throughout theworld and the earth grew barren fromneglect. On her wanderings she came toEleusis near Athens, where, in the guiseof an old woman, she was received bythe family of Celeus. According to oneversion, she then attempted to makeTriptolemus, the son of Celeus, immortal;but when prevented by the frightenedmother, Demeter limited her favor toteaching the child how to use the plow

and sow corn. When Persephone wasrestored to her for two thirds of each year,the earth again became fruitful for thatperiod. The center of Demeters worshipwas at Eleusis, where the EleusinianMysteries were held in honor of the twogoddesses. The disappearance and returnof Persephone, symbolized the deathand rebirth of vegetation; later, initiatesread into the ritual a promise of theirown immortality. The Romans identi ed

The story of Demeter going into theunderworld to find her kidnapeddaughter, Proserpina-Persephone isrehearsed through the Eleusian mys-teriesthe ancient mystery fertilityreligion. Colliers Encyclopedia, Volume16, pg. 349-350, tells of the mystery reli-gions of the great mother.

The mystery religions furnish an ancient

example of a missionary movement.Originally they were magical ceremoniesdesigned to induce bountiful crops. Theydramatized the annual decay of vegeta-tion in the autumn as the death of a divineyouth over whom a goddess mourned.Later they celebrated with ecstatic joythe return of verdure in the spring as thecoming to life again of the departed youth.Participating in these rites was believed tocleanse the devotee of his sins and unitehim mystically with the god. They werecrude and orgiastic but they had a dynam-ic quality which led to their expansion. In spite of the protests of such menas Euripides and Plato the mystery reli-gions continued to make converts becausethey supplied something which neither thereligion of the Olympic gods nor the phi-losophers of Greece could offer. This wasespecially true of the Eleusinian mysterieswhich may have had their origin in Egypt.In these ceremonies, Demeter, the god-dess of agriculture, was represented asweeping over her daughter Persephone,who had been carried off by Pluto, godof the nether world, to become his bride.She reappeared, however, in the springand spent six months (according to someaccounts, eight) with her mother beforereturning to Pluto. By a natural develop-

ment, these mysteries came to teach that, just as the vegetation was reborn in thespring, after its death in the autumn, sothe initiates might be reborn after death. Though the details of these rites areunknown, because they were secret, itis evident that the drama which the initi-ates saw enacted was a source of greatcomfort to them thereafter, attracting atAthens alone thousands of candidateswho thronged to be initiated. was carried by Phoenician sailors andtraders to various ports in the Mediterra-nean at an early date. Later, when this seawas controlled by the Ptolemies, Egyptiansailors and traders carried the mysteryreligion of Isis to Cyprus, Sicily, Italy,Gaul, and Spain. This religion, transformedconsiderably from its Egyptian prototype,had great popularity in Rome, and held itsown for 500 years. It was at one time aformidable rival of Christianity.

Men and women offered up sacrificesand prayers to these mysterious forcesof the mystery religion, which they be-lieved controlled the workings of natureon their behalf. Their hope in offeringthis worship was to ward off catastro-phe, to ensure fine hunting, to obtainbountiful harvests, and to live againbeyond the grave. The mystery worship was set in thecycle of sun worship. In the spring ofthe year, man sought fertility for him-self and for his land. Bountiful crops

would assure food for himself and hishousehold. It was during this springtimeof the year, at the vernal equinox, thatthe Goddess he worshiped was fertil-ized by the God he worshiped. In the summer of the year, the hot,arid land he lived upon became brownand barren. At this summertime, direct-ly on the summer solstice, the Goddesshe worshiped went into the underworldto remain until the time for vegetationto begin growing in the fall of the year. At autumn of this yearly cycle thesun started dying. The days grew short-er as the nights grew longer. At thefall of the year, directly on the autumnequinox, the Goddess man worshipedbegan to weep for the lost (or murderedin other mythologies) Goddess (orGod).

At the winter solstice the sun startedto come back to life as the days startedgrowing longer and the nights shorter.Life would be assured for another year.

The Goddess who had been fertilized atthe previous vernal equinox gave birthto a son at the winter solstice. The Godhad been reborn.

Such was the cycle of the primitivefertility religions portrayed throughcute stories which effectively hid the

vile, hideous meaning behind them.Thanksgiving day worship is merely theancient fertility rites veneered with therespectability of christianity. However,the fact still remains, that it is ancientfertility worship.

You may ask, werent our pilgrimfathers Righteous? Didnt they keepmany of those old Laws? I know theydidnt keep christmas. I can tell youthe pilgrims only served the Father asfar as they would. Definitely, the pil-grims worshiped on Sunday and theydefinitely did not keep the Holy FeastDays as ordained in Leviticus ChapterTwenty-three . They did not keep theclean and unclean food Laws, as listedin Leviticus Chapter Eleven and Deu-teronomy Chapter Fourteen .

The pilgrims studied the biblesthey had. Therefore, they would haveread of Yahwehs Sabbaths, Holy FeastDays, and clean and unclean food Lawsfor themselves. Why did they not obeyYahweh by doing what He had com-manded in Leviticus Chapters Eleven and Twenty-three and in DeuteronomyChapter Fourteen ? Like so many churches and denom-inations today, the pilgrims wanted todo it their way and not Yahwehs Way.Is it any wonder then, that the pilgrims

were just as deceived as the churchesand assemblies are today?

The pilgrims held exactly a threeday feast in the fall of 1621. This wasthe customary time span for the ancientpagan celebrations. Thanksgiving, byRobert Haven Schauffler, Dodd-Mead,1957, pages xii-xiii says:

The harvest festival of ancient Greece,called the Thesmophoria was akin tothe Jewish Feast of Tabernacles. It wasthe feast of Demeter, the foundress ofagriculture and goddess of harvests, andwas celebrated in Athens, in November,by married women only. Two wealthyand distinguished ladies were chosen toperform the sacred function in the nameof the others, and to prepare the sacredmeal, which corresponded to our Thanks-

giving dinner . On the rst day of the feast,amid great mirth and rejoicing, the womenwent in procession to the promontory ofColias and celebrated their Thanksgivingfor three days in the temple of Demeter.On their return a festival occurred for threedays in Athens, sad at rst but graduallygrowing into an orgy of mirth and dancing.Here a cow and a sow were offered toDemeter, besides fruit and honeycombs.The symbols of the fruitful goddess werepoppies and ears of corn, a basket of fruitand a little pig. The Romans worshipped this harvestdeity under the name of Ceres. Her fes-tival, which occurred yearly on October4th, was called the Cerelia. It began witha fast among the common people whooffered her a sow and the rst cuttingsof the harvest. There were processions inthe elds with music and rustic sports andthe ceremonies ended with the inevitablefeast of thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving , by Applebaum, page 8,tells us:A target shoot designed to demonstratethe power of English muskets was a ma-

jor feature of the three-day-long harvestcelebration held in Plymouth in the fallof 1621.

Yahweh has given us, through His HolyScriptures, His Holy Feast Days. TheFeast of Tabernacles is the Feast ofIngathering for the people of Yahweh.Yahweh tells His people to keep HisFeasts in Leviticus Chapter Twen-ty-three . Yahwehs people do not defilethemselves with the holidays of this

world.

But if it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, then choose for your-selves this day whom you will serve __ whether the Gods (elohim)your fathers served on the other side of the River; Euphrates, orthe Gods (elohim) of the Amorites, in whose land you now live...BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE: WE WILL SERVE YAHWEH !
