Yes The Merlin Players Are Returning! And the show is cast! It stars Michal Lambert as Georges and Eric Parrish as Albin. Georges and Albin are partnered for better or worse. It all comes apart when Albin’s son announces his impending marriage to the daughter of a bigoted politician. Further complications include the family business which is a nightclub for female impersonators. Georges agrees to masquerade as “normal” to meet the girl’s parents but Albin has oth- er plans. It all ends up in a wild romp. The hit movie comedy “The Bird Cage” was based on the musical. Despite all that’s going on around him, all he can think about is playing baseball for the New York Yankees... and girls. This heart- warming comedy serves as a wonderfully nostalgic reminder of what it was like to grow up in a tight-knit, loving family during the most difficult of times. Taking Flight Once Again
Dear TMP audiences,
We are, indeed, planning a new season, although it will look different than anything we have presented in the past. It will include our first on-line production. We had many people say they wished they could see “Wrapped in Love and Glory” again. Well, now you can. Season ticket holders will be given the means to download a video of the original production. This play is about the Faribault Woolen Mills during WWII. Remember the great story telling written by Faribault native Michael Lambert? Remember the great music played by Doug Madow and sung by our trio? You can relive the expe-rience or see it for the first time. In late April, 2021 we will bring back live performances with Neil Simon’s comedy “Brighton Beach Memoirs” directed by Samuel Temple. Then in late July we will present the delightful musical “La Cage Aux Folles” starring Michael Lambert and Eric Parrish. Help us to take flight again.
