Making of Rubber Powered Planes
These planes use the rubber-power for propulsion. A rubber-power airplane is a type of a wind-up
toy. The elastic is wound (twisted) to store potential energy. Energy is released as it unwinds and
turns the propeller. This was inspired by the Japanese which was a Foam rubber powered plane with
propeller and a Balsa Fuselage. This was the first ever rubber band plane to fly the uncharted skies of
Japan.
WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS: These planes use imported Balsa wood and improted styrofoam, bio-foam or eva foam to
make the parts of the plane.
Design , Build & Test your own first rubber powered plane from scratch!
Hands-on experience in fabricating the rubber powered planes.
Know about CG balancing and stability check of the fabricated Plane to avoid any navigational glitch during flight.
Making the plane ready to fly.
Test flight and competition session.

Making of Stomp Rocket
Stomp rocket is a flying toy rocket that is powered by the release of compressed air. The rocket has a
hollow body that fits over a launch tube; this model is a show stopper where children are launching
rockets over 200ft in the air. Later people went on to use this concept for a water rocket that
is using water as its reaction mass instead of compressed air.
WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS:
Design , Build & Test your own stomp rocket from scratch!
Work individually to construct and launch paper rockets using a PVC-pipe launcher.
Following the flight of their rocket, calculate the altitude their rocket achieved.
Based on the flight performance of their rockets, analyze their rocket designs, modify or
rebuild them, launch again, and calculate the altitude achieved to determine if their changes
affected the performance of the rocket.

Making of Rubber Powered Helicopter
This is a free flight model that uses rubber-power acting like a motor to power the helicopter. It uses
an elastic band for propulsion. The elastic is wound (twisted) to store potential energy. Energy is
released as it unwinds it converted into kinetic energy which turns the propeller. A rubber-power
helicopter is a type of wind-up toy. No batteries required!
WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS:
Design , Build & Test your own first rubber powered helicopter from scratch!
Work individually to construct and launch helicopters up in the sky.
Children will get to learn the parts of helicopter, rotors, and working mechansim.
Understand the principles of Energy, Different types of Energy, Propulsion system, Centre of Gravity in Helicopters.

Making of Ornithopter
Ornithopter, also known as a flying bird is a machine designed to achieve flight by means of flapping
wings. An Ornithopter is an aircraft heavier than air, which flies like a bird by flapping its wings. The
special feature lies in the wings that not only generate lift but also thrust.
Experience the challenge of building your own ornithopter. You can start with a simple, rubber-band-
powered mechanical bird, and then work your way up to a large, radio-controlled ornithopter.
WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS:
Design and Build and test your own rubber-powered Ornithopter.
Understand the principles of Flight of a bird.
Understanding the mechanisms involved in design of flapping-wing flight.
Basics of Aerodynamics and flapping-wing flight.
Design a mechanism that imitates a Bird.
Competition for Longest Flight.

Making of Wired Hovercraft
A hovercraft, also known as an air-cushion vehicle or ACV, is a craft capable of travelling over land,
water, mud, ice, and other surfaces. The workshop involves the design and fabrication of wired
remote controlled hovercrafts. It will enable participants to practically understand the aerodynamics,
electronics and instrumentation principles involved in hovercraft design.
WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS:
Design, Build and test your own wired hovercraft.
Introduction to Remote Controlled Hovercraft.
Understand basic Concepts of Hovercraft.
Understanding the Physics behind functioning of a Hovercraft.
Understand the electronics used. Power distribution boards, PCB’s, DC Motors, Adaptors and
DPDT Switches.

Making of Wireless Hovercraft
A hovercraft, also called an air-cushion vehicle, ACV, is a craft capable of travelling at an elevated
height over rough terrain. They can also move around well on land, ice, and water. They are
supported by a cushion of slow moving, high-pressure air which is ejected against the surface below
and contained within a “skirt”.
The workshop involves the design and fabrication of wireless hovercrafts. It will enable participants
to practically understand the aerodynamics, electronics and instrumentation principles involved in
hovercraft design.
WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS:
Complete model designed and fabricated by the participants from scratch.
Design and Fabrication competitions.
Understanding the Physics behind functioning of a Hovercraft
Structure and parts of a Hovercraft.
Introduction to Remote Controlled Hovercraft.
Electronics used in the design of Hovercraft.
