Year FS2 Remote Learning Pack
Welcome
HELLO FROM MISS ROWLEY, MRS FOSTER AND MISS JOHNSON Thank you all for your hard work and for sharing it with us on class Dojo. As you will have noticed, we are able to share
your child’s work with the class. We feel this is a lovely way for FS2 to keep in touch with school and with their friends
and teachers.
Our Learning this half term is all about: DINOSAURS! ROAR!
Please continue to upload work to your child’s portfolio on Dojo on a daily basis. Work uploaded can be uploaded from
your child’s log in.
We are requesting work be shared daily:
x1 maths
x1 literacy
x1 topic
This is limited to four photographs or videos in total on any day.
Maths and Literacy- these tasks have been set in 3 groups:
Red/Orange – These are the tasks that your child has been set.
Green – These are the tasks that might challenge your child but they should still be able to complete them.
Blue – These are the tricky challenges. You could still have a go at these!
You can contact us: [email protected]
Whole School Weekly Challenge Joke of the Week
Whole School Weekly Challenge:
Can you write down or talk about 10 things that
you have got better at since being in this class?
This may be academic or relating to your own
personal skills e.g. I know how to answer long
division questions, I can now balance along a
bench in PE, my handwriting is neater, I have
become more resilient…
Wellbeing Idea for the Week
Let’s focus on our sense of smell: get an adult to put on a blind fold for you/ or you could close your eyes
tight. Then your adult can hold something in front of you, such as some fresh orange peel, a flower, a mint
leaf, grass, lemon, chocolate, herbs/spices etc. Now keep your eyes closed and breathe in the scent,
concentrating on the smell of the object. Then have a go at guessing what item it is! Scent can help with
anxiety-relief as well as relaxation, stress and concentration.
Week beginning: 06.07.2020

Day 5 Mindfulness
Mindfulness: Ribbon movements.
Ask a grown up for a long ribbon, a piece of string or a strip of long thin paper.
You can do this inside or outside. Find a space so you can move around.
Move the ribbon slowly from side to side. Watch as it moves.
Move the ribbon up and down. Again watch how it moves.
Now move the ribbon like you are making waves. First move it slowly with small movements
then as the waves get faster make the movements bigger and bigger. Then begin to slow
the movements down.
How does it make you feel? Repeat these movements again. Do you still feel the same or is
it different this time?
Maybe you could try these movements with some music.
