• RATIONALE BEHIND THE MODEL

1. Curriculum design that ‘guides’ all students towards at least 1 subject in the Ebacc suite - a group of ‘high

value’ qualifications that are highly rated by Sixth Forms, employers and Universities.

2. The model allows students to follow a highly academic pathway or compliment their Ebacc choice with more practical subjects.

3. Progress 8 and the end of A* to G grades.

4. An increased number of lessons in English, Maths and Science to ensure that students are prepared for GCSE’s that have grown in content.

5. ‘Fat Maths’, English Literature, Double/Triple Science
