Year 6 Learning Activities Term 6 week 5
P A L M A R S H I have included
English and Maths
learning for each
day of the week
see below.
This week looks set to be
windy. Have a think about
what makes a good kite,
then have a go at making
your own.
This week starts off
children’s art week –
which runs for three
weeks with a
different theme each
week. This week’s
them is ‘The natural
world’. Use materials
from around the
home/garden to make
some British Wild
Animals.
Complete a piece of
mindfulness colouring
Plan your own pudding
– what would be the
ingredients? How
would it look? Would
any of it need
baking? Would there
be different layers?
Send in a personal
video message or
written message for
the children who are
in school.
Ask to learn how to
help out with
something in the
house which you
currently don’t know
how to use e.g could
you learn how to use
the washing machine?
Thunk: If the hands
fall off a clock is it
still a clock?
Discuss
Play TT rock stars –
remember I can see
who has logged on
Stick with the new
language you have
decided to learn, this
week have a go at
learning numbers 1-10
Pick your own way to
represent ‘The
natural world’
through art.
If you were Prime
Minister for a week,
which rules would you
make? Are there any
you would get rid of?
Repeat your exercise
circuit three times
this week – can you
beat your own
personal best?
Using your favourite
song as a stimulus,
create a piece of art.
Listen to the top 10
songs on the week
you were born. Are
there any that you
recognise?
Pick another year in
history, and research
key events which
happened here
