Watch the video to see the words performed

This week, we are reading a playscript!

A playscript is a story that has been written for actors to perform in the theatre. The playscript we are reading is from 'Matilda the Musical'. Matilda was a book written by Roald Dahl. Dennis Kelly has turned the book into a playscript so actors can perform it.

OpeningIn the hills of Yellowstone National Park, Grumbly Bear was making his way across the countryside to visit the woods. Huffing and puffing, he stomped angrily along the cliff side, looking for a place to cross over. As he scanned the horizon, Bear noticed a wooden bridge. “That will do!” he grumbled to himself.

Build UpLike a bulldozer, Bear stormed across the bridge. He did not look up and was stomping so much that he didn’t notice Elk coming the other way. Elk stopped in his tracks. Slowly, he put his hands on his hips. Elk was in a bad mood. “Get out of my way!” roared Elk as he waved his antlers violently.

ProblemAnnoyed, Bear thought for a moment. He hated having to go back. Stubbornly, he stamped his foot and roared. It was just then that they noticed them. Two smaller creatures at each end of the bridge. What were they up to? Seconds later, Bear and Elk felt a huge wobble. Then another one. The bridge was about to give way. CRASH!

Here is an example story for you!Pay attention to the ISPACE fronted adverbials
