Science Our science topic begins by looking at
plants. We will be growing plants,
identifying different parts of a plant,
what they need to survive and
investigating plant types.
Geography The children will be looking at their
own locality before investigating the
countries of the UK, including the
characteristics of the four countries
and capital cities. Through this the
children will have the opportunity to
develop their map reading and drawing
skills.
Art and Design
Firstly we will be looking at
portraits by a range of famous
artists before creating our own
self-portraits using a variety
of mediums. Following this we will be looking at ‘colour’ and
the work of Kandinsky.
Religious Education
In RE we will be finding out
about Judaism. Investigating
special books, places of worship
and symbols. We will be looking
at the similarities and
differences between Judaism and
Christianity.
Year 2
Jack & the Beanstalk
Computing
We will begin by learning how to use the
computer safely and develop our skills
further in the use of word processing. We
will then start our coding project.
