This week we will be refining and improving your coursework you have done/started. The reason for this is we need to make sure

your coursework is mastered and done to the highest of standards and you are given the opportunity to catch up on any outstanding

work.

If there are pages in your sketchbook you have not been able to complete due to not beingable to print or due to not being able to take the photographs etc. consider planning thepage layout in pencil, marking out where you will put things and write the titles and thenleave this for now as it is. This week we would like you to refine and tidy your sketchbook,filling in any missing gaps. This is very individual to each of you.

By Friday 4pm please upload every page from your sketchbook, it is fine to uploadunfinished and finished work onto Showbie. Please make this is uploaded in order from page1 title page, Mrs Petri will view this to give individual tasks and ideas from next week.

Go through the Mass Media specification and colour code it depending on your confidence in each topic. Identify your top 3 strongest and weakest areas.3.) Based on your weakest areas, choose a 24 marker to plan and answer in detail. Self-assess using the success criteria.4.) Find a news article on a contemporary example that links to Sociology and annotate it with theorists and perspectives that may agree or disagree with it and explain why.Miss Paling:1.) 1. Do audiences interpret media texts in the same way? No, and Stuart Hall has proved this with his theory! I am sure Blumler and Katz would have something to say about this question also.

2. Here is an actual Unit 1 exam question:

Year 12 Travel & Tourism Home Learning Your overall aim this week is to consolidate the learning you did last week on the Responses of travel and tourism organisations to external and internal factors. You will also be building on your Evaluate Skills. 1. Please download the Powerpoint on Showbie called Responses to Factors. Read

the powerpoint carefully and follow the instructions. Complete the Activities on Slides 2, 4 and 5. There is Help available on Slide 3 but try not to look and have a go at the 7 Scenarios on Slide 2.

2. Then Slides 7 and 8 remind you of good practice for completing Evaluate questions and provide the mark bands showing how the exam board grade responses. Remember evaluate questions must come to a conclusion including a judgement about whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages or the positives outweigh the negatives.

3. Then on slides 9 and 10 there are 2 Evaluate questions. Try to give both your best efforts. I know you can do these and these are 2 of the nicest Evaluate questions I could find!!!!!!!!!

4. Type up your answers and upload to Showbie on completion. If you are struggling with using Showbie ask a friend, I’m sure they’ll be happy to help… or go old school and email me your answer! I’m really looking forward to receiving them so come on go for it!
