INSTRUCTIONSBACK AND FRONTUsing long tail cast on 47 sts.
Create edge – Purl 3 rows, followed by a knit row and one more purl row.
Start the Lace Trellis pattern. Work until piece measures 4" [10 cm] from beginning.
Helpful tip: Slip the fi rst stitch of every row. This makes a nice fi nish for the thumb opening.
Thumb decrease – Decrease 1 st at each end on every purl row for the next 6 rows. 41 sts. Note: Keep the lace pattern consistent during decreases. Always try to balance the yo with the k2tog. When this is not possible, knit or purl the stitches as appropriate. Complete the glove cuff .
Glove cuff : Continue to slip the fi rst stitch of each row. Establish a k2, p2 ribbing.
Complete 3" [7.5 cm] before casting off loosely.
FINISHINGSew up side seam of cuff capturing up to the start of the thumb decreases. With right sides together, pick up the slipped stitch along the edges using a mattress stitch. Sew 11/2" [4 cm] to 2" [5 cm] together from the top of the glove, leaving the remaining open for the thumb.
