A Presentation on
Yarn Printing Yarn printing is the application of dyes or
pigments on the localized area of the yarn by any method which can produce particular effect of color on the yarn or onto a yarn package according to the design.
Yarn printing is also known as “Space Dyeing”.
Space dyeing Space dyeing is a process in which yarn is
colored in one by one space by injection of colored dyestuff that means in a specific length of yarn. The essential process sequence begins with dye liquor application, followed by steam fixation, washing-off and drying .
Warp Printing This involves printing the warp yarns of a fabric
before weaving. The fabric is woven with a solid color filling, usually
white. Fine white or neutral colored filling yarns are
generally used for weaving so that the design on the warp will not be obscured.
The result is a soft, shadowed, blurred design on the fabric.
These prints are found on high quality, costly fabrics because it requires careful, meticulous labor.
