Y5 Informal Concert

Year 5 held their own concert on the 25th June, culminating in a performance of the original cantata

version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Before that we heard several instrumental

and vocal solos from Year 5, and a piece from the Recorder Ensemble. Ava G started the concert with

Charpentier’s famous Te Deum on the violin and we also heard violin solos from Fitnet and Vanessa,

and vocal pieces from Eloïse and Honor. Laila played an unaccompanied waltz on the flute and Leila a

piano version of the Agincourt Song. Alexander gave the second public performance of her own

composition, Growing Up, first heard earlier in the year.

The main event was the performance of Joseph, brilliantly sung by all the girls in Year 5 with vocal

solos from Eloïse, Honor, Ella, Jessica , Ava W, Emma, Amber, Avery, Fitnet, Charu and, perhaps most

notably, Ava G, channelling the spirit of Elvis for her amazing performance of Pharaoh’s song.

Well done to all the girls for a very enjoyable concert.
