When they return Thursday afternoon, they stay at Otonabee for one more night and clean out their equipment and participate in some traditional camp activities. On Friday campers can take their usual bus route home or be picked up from camp Otonabee at the end of the day. Please note that additional information; packing list, campsite locations and program details will be sent out to all campers that register in the program. Monday of the second week, campers arrive at camp with all of their gear packed and ready to go; they will then venture out on a five day, four-night trip in the Algonquin Park wilderness. Campers will be expected to contribute to all aspects of their tripping experience from designing a menu, creating a packing list, to helping set up camp and prepare meals while on trip. The Camp Otonabee Heron trip is an excellent opportunity for campers to spend some quality time outside and learn new skills at the same time.
