We have done this for eight years be- cause we are unable to hold our Easter crowds at our two campuses. We welcome the oppor- tunity to share the love of Christ with many peo- ple in our community. At the same time our whole congregation worships together (its like a family reunion). We are so thankful to the many people who make this possible. We need eve- ryone’s help. Here’s what you can do to share this experience with others. 1. Pray. Pray that God will move in our wor- ship experience and that people will sense the love of Jesus in all we do. 2. Invite people to at- tend. This weekend there will be invitation cards which you can share with neighbors, co-workers, students, etc. 3. Be a part of a set-up team. We will need as many hands as possible to move equipment in on Saturday morning. 4. Help build backdrops and décor. Feel free to call the office if you can help in this way (827- 2993). 5. Make some cookies! We usually serve sev- eral thousand so bake away. You can drop them off at the south campus on that week- end. 6. Be a part of the opening celebration. We will need 100 people to be in a processional (kids are very welcome to help and we encourage whole families to par- ticipate!). 7. (We’ll serve coffee, bagels, and cream cheese to those who stop by and help pack or bring items.)This packing will be a “linen shower.” We’ll need fresh pillow cases that smell like home to send in the boxes, as well as hand towels and washcloths. It seems that everything has sand in it in the desert, and that linens that are clean and smell of fresh air or fabric softener are really enjoyed. Why tell you now? So you can watch for sales on pillowcases-superheroes, cartoons, or camou-flage designs would be great, and this will give you time to paint, em-broider, or otherwise decorate a pil-lowcase with a scripture or prayer from “home.” You may want to decorate some hand towels and wash cloths, too.
