-In small groups of 6 students will create their own xylophones using glass 4 glass bottles
water and a spoon, pencil. By adjusting the amount of water they put in the glass bottles
they will be able to change the sound they make.
-They will also be able to see the vibrations in the water they make when they hit the
bottle
-As a final reflection students will have discussion in their groups about what happened when they changed the amount of water in the glass bottles and anything else they found
interesting from the activity.
-They will then share their ideas with the rest of the class.
They will also finish the KWL chart started at the beginning of the lesson.

This will be very hands on activity. The assessment will be oral as the students will share
first in their groups what they learned about this activity then whey will get to share with
the class and fill out the KWL chart as a class on their findings.
Reflection: I have not done this lesson in a classroom but I expect students to be very engaged since
they will be able to create their own musical instrument.
