The power supply fan has the task to exhaust the heat out of the power supply and also out of the entire PC. Air turbulences and mechanical vibrations result in noise. Special XILENCE fans with maximal air fl ow and minimum noise develop-

ment are implemented into the XILENCE power supplies. The fan speed is temperature controlled in order to avoid any noise development. Additionally, the XILENCE-Rubber Frames absorb vibrations caused by the power supply.

The already well-known design of the Blade Pro was extended with the new XILENCE Cooltouch–Techno-logie and thereby made much more powerful. With this technology, the heat pipes lie directly on the heat spreader which transports the heat to the cooling fi ns even faster. Due to the cut and polished surface, the heat transfer between the CPU and heat pipes is more effi cient. The mounting concept was improved – the plate above the heat pipes is mounted with a new fi xation. This new fi xation makes the installation of the cooler even easier. The XILENCE LCD hard disk cooler combines high eff ective cooling with excellent noise insulation and a chic design. The hard disk temperature is shown on the integrated LC-display. An additional temperature sensor is available which could be used to determine the processor temperature.

The special rubber HDD-screws that are used to install the HDD cooler prevent vibrations to the case, but do not aff ect the access speed.

The enlarged surface area of the massive heat sink is covered with fi ns and the interior is laid-out with thermal pads which guarantee optimal heat dissipation.
