XC 4000-2SPThe XC4000-2SP 2 spindle vertical machining center is designed to meet the needs of high volume parts production. With 2 x 12000rpm direct-connected spindles, it provides top class high speed machining productivity, and by using a mineral cast bed, maintains stability and precision over long periods of production. It is also suitable for use with automated part-loading systems for unmanned running.

Flexibility for customization
The XC4000-2SP is available with a variety of
dual table specifications to suit customer’s
requirements, and is also suitable for
automation using robot or gantry loader.
High stability and precision
In order to maintain stable precision during
high speed operation, a high attenuation
mineral cast bed is applied, thereby
increasing machine stability. Spindle cooling,
multi-sensor type thermal compensation and
linear scales on X/Y/Z axes are all standard.
Optimized design concept for high productivity
By using twin spindles, two parts are machined
simultaneously. In addition, using high acc/dec
axis traverse rates and high speed ATC/APC, non
cutting time is reduced to a minimum, providing
efficiency improvements of between 2 and 4
times compared to conventional machines.

The XC4000-2SP has a traveling column design with 400mm Y axis. It’s compact automatic pallet change (APC) design provides easy operation and compact footprint. The mineral cast bed provides optimum stability.
To optimize durability and stiffness, dual ballscrews are included. Linear scales on XYZ axes are applied as standard. Productivity is maximized by high speed acc/dec rates on all axes.

Easy Operation Package
The software developed by Doosan's own technologyprovides numerousfunctions designed forconvenient operation.
Adaptive Feed Control(AFC)
If tool overload is detected during operation, the
feed rate is controlled to prevent the tool from being
damaged.
Thermal compensation function
A thermal error compensation function is provided to
optimize machine accuracy over long periods.
ATC Recovery
In the event of an error during ATC (automatic tool
changer) operation, follow the on-screen instructions
for an easy and prompt solution.
Tool Load Monitoring
During cutting operation, abnormal load caused by
wear and tear of the tool is detected and an alarm is
triggered to prevent further damage.
Work Offset Setting
Function to configure various work offset settings.
Tool management
This function controls information on the tools in the
tool magazine pots.
