Setting options
NAVMAN
Press and hold to enter setup
Press repeatedly to step through the setting options. Press both buttons together ( ) to start or stop editing a setting option.
While editing, press or repeatedly to step through selectable states, or increase/decrease values. Press and hold the appropriate button to increase/decrease values quickly.
Set (12hr)lets you set 12hr or 24hr time format
Set (31-12)lets you set dd-mm or mm-dd date format
Calc upWhen ‘calc up’ is «ON» the X300 calculates data for all movement (uphill and downhill). When ‘calc up’ is «OFF» the X300 calculates information for downhill movement only.
BeepWhen beep is «ON» a beep will sound when the buttons are pushed.
Set units (km/h)lets you set speed units to «km/h» or «mph»Distance and altitude are displayed in units corresponding to the speed units, i.e. if you choose «km/h» for speed units, then distance is displayed in «km» and altitude in «m».
Set offsetlets you adjust the X300 to display local timeThe date is displayed to ensure that time adjustments are made in the correct direction, i.e. both correct time and correct date should be displayed. GPS signals must be obtained to set local time.

Normal operating modes
Press to start normal operation
Press repeatedly to step through the modes (hold to cycle automatically through modes).
Speedshows session distance and current speed
Speed (AVG)shows session distance and average speed
Speed (MAX)shows session distance and maximum speed
Odometershows total distance from last odometer reset
Altitudeshows total accumulated altitude and current altitude
Zone OFFlets you skip the zone setting optionsZone alerts do not sound if zone status is «OFF».
Zone ONmakes the min and max zone setting options availableIf zone status is «ON», alerts sound when zone limits are passed.
Zone MINlets you set your minimum target speed
Zone MAXlets you set your maximum target speed
Clockshows the current time and date(You may need to adjust the settings to display your local time.)
Timershows session and lap timesThe timer starts automatically whenever you start moving and stops whenever you stop moving.
Timer Recalllets you recall stored lap data. Repeatedly pressing recalls lap data starting from the last stored lap, then lap 1, 2, 3 etc.

Be outdoorsThe X300 is not intended for operation indoors or under water as it uses Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites to get time and date information, and to calculate distance and speed. For best results, always use the X300 outdoors with an unobstructed view of the sky.

1. Turn D-ring anti-clockwise and slide enclosure cover down to open battery enclosure.
2. Insert battery with «» end as indicated inside enclosure.
3. Replace enclosure cover (ensuring lugs at the bottom of the cover are aligned with slots in the enclosure surround), turn D-ring clockwise to seal.

Fit the X300The X300 is designed to be worn on the left upper arm. You may wish to adjust some of the settings prior to fitting.

The control buttons, and (as shown above) are pressed separately or together to turn the unit «ON» and «OFF», cycle through modes, and select mode options.

! Always enter setup first if you wish to change settings. To enter setup after starting normal operation, you must shut down and re-start the X300.
Flashing icon = seeking GPS signals Constant icon = GPS signals obtainedStartup could take up to 80 seconds to get all satellite data.
If you release before the counter reaches zero, the X300 will immediately start normal operation. For details about system settings see over page or consult User Guide.

When starting directly into normal operation X300 will start in the mode it was in at last shutdown.
The X300 automatically operates whenever you are moving and pauses operation while you are stationary. Modes are accessed in the following order:
