Customized chassis for various applications and customers Coxx is building low floor chassis since 1994 and continuously develops the X-Low in responsiveness to market preferences. The low weight of the chassis, combined with an ultra-low entry level and high load capacity, makes the X-Low praised by various bodyworkers. Modular construction

Technical highlights Max. 5.300 kg gross load capacity (body and load) within the C1 driver’s license! Choose the Coxx X-Low 7.490 kg GWV version. High-grade Domex® 700 steel is used for the X-Low, together with the innovative design of the chassis this results in a lightweight vehicle with high load capacity.

A lowered aisle available. Convenient especially for foodtrucks, market- and salescarts. This lowered center results in a working height as low as 25 cm. Making the vendor stand on a par with his customer. This is very convenient in interaction with customers.

The X-Low contains a unique coupling system which enables the cabin to be easily replaced. Due to this universal coupling system the cabin and the chassis are interchangeable. In this way the chassis and the coach body can have a second life after depreciation or damage to the cabin. This will reflect in the exploitation costs.

Customization within serial production is possible because of the modular construction of the X-Low. This results in:

Technical highlights

The ultralight version of the X-low has been developed to have the highest load capacity within the range of a regular (B) driver’s license. The carrying construction or light-weight loading floor results in the highest load capacity possible with a B-license. An upgrade to 5.000 kg GVW, generates an extra 1.500 kg net loading capacity. Only one single rear axle. To drive with the C1 license.

XL-construction? No problem! Due to the high load capacity it is possible to construct even lengthy chassis. For this reason the X-Low for 7.490 kg GVW is a valuable alternative for heavy 12-ton vehicles. Lower investments and costs. No German Maut. Suitable for C1 driver’s license!

The load floor, with a height as low as 41 cm, makes loading and unloading very easy, efficient and ergonomic. Now a loading ramp is needless. A lightweight tailboard, with a gradient of 9 just degrees, is sufficient even for loading heavier freights. The hinges for a tailboard are galvanized for a longer lifespan.

Rear axle air suspension is a standard feature on the X-Low chassis. This enables the chassis to lower within seconds and contributes to a higher drive comfort. The air suspension is equipped with the Air Drive Control (ADC) system, which stabilizes the vehicle and maintains the correct height at all times during a ride.

The air suspension is easy to operate with a touchscreen control panel (included). The controls work just like a smartphone, easy and very intuitive. The air compressor and electronics for the air suspension are conveniently and efficiently installed underneath the cabin. A standard air dryer prevents the system from freezing during colder times.

Air suspension is also available on the front axle (optional). This feature optimizes drivers comfort and maximizes carrying capacity on the front axle. The 4-channel air suspension includes:

Technical highlights De Shortcab integral cabin is based on a 'naked' Fiat Ducato cab and gives access directly to the rear part of the vehicle bodywork. The Shortcab is only 1 meter in length, whereas a regular Ducato cabine is 2.40 meter in length. This saves 1.40 meter for more sales-, distribution- or living space.

The variable length and width contributes to an optimized usable acreage. A rectangular construction maximizes efficiency and load space. The efficient wheel suspension system results in the X-Low to have very small wheel arches, only 33 cm for more convenience and load space.
