in worship lift your voice.

To dwell within his presence,

make that your daily choice.

Turn your back on Satan;

don’t follow what is wrong.

Keeping safe within God’s arms

is where you do belong.

When you honor and exalt God,

your heart he enters in.

It is only through humility

that you are cleansed from sin.

There is no better place

where you can ever be,

Than in the presence of your God,

made holy and set free.

Exalt means that we honor God,

and praise his holy name.

We worship and adore him;

we do not bring him shame.

We understand that through him

we have everything we need.

So we want to do what pleases him,

with every word and deed.

If we think we’re really great,

and our hearts are full of pride,

God will turn his face from us

and with us won’t abide.

It is only through humility

that God’s voice we can hear.

When we see our need for God

to us he will draw near.

We know that God is real;

he created you and me.

He made the things around us,

everything that we can see.

Because he is creator

he is worthy of our praise,

So to honor and exalt him,

we in worship voices raise.

To properly exalt God

we must come to understand,

The greatness of creation

made by his almighty hand.

When we honor and exalt God

with us he’s pleased to dwell,

And it’s only in his presence

that life goes really well.

Jesus is the Son of God;

he’s God in every way,

So to honor and exalt him

we follow and obey.

Jesus helps us understand

the love God has for men,

Since he gave his life to rescue us,

saving us from sin.

When we honor and exalt God,

we are doing what is right;

Our hearts are filled with joy,

understanding, and God’s light.

But if we follow other gods,

our lives will always lack,

‘Cause when we turn away from God,

on us he turns his back.
