How To Cope With Anxiety
How do you cope with anxiety?
Some people suffer from anxiety and depression. Sometimes they have to seek counseling or take medication to cope with major disorders. As we begin this study, it is important establish that there is nothing wrong with seeking help from a skill and knowledgeable professional. Jesus said: "They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick (Matthew 9:12, KJV)." The purpose of this lesson is to show that the word of God has an answer to anxiety.
How To Cope With Anxiety
How do you cope with anxiety?
Paul writes a letter of encouragement to the Christians in Philippi from prison. It is sobering to think that someone who is incarcerated would be encouraging those who are free. In this case, Paul was in prison; but, he was free in Christ. If you are free in your inner being, no one can enslave you. Paul understood this. He tells the Philippians to not be anxious for any reason. Why could they have this state of mind? They could cope with anxiety and any present distress through Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7
