What is Jesus preaching?(Mark 1:14 NKJV) Now after John was put in prison, Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,(Mark 1:15 NKJV) and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

What is “gospel” about His message?(Rom 1:16 NKJV) For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

What time had been fulfilled?(Mark 1:15 NKJV) … “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.”

Was this their first “call”?(John 1:35-37 NKJV) Again, the next day, John stood with two of his disciples. And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, “Behold the Lamb of God!” The two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.…(John 1:40 NKJV) One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.(John 1:41 NKJV) He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which is translated, the Christ).

Jesus called James and John.(Mark 1:19 NKJV) When He had gone a little farther from there, He saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending their nets.(Mark 1:20 NKJV) And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him.

What did James and John already know about Jesus.(Luke 5:3-4 NKJV) Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon's, … He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”

Do we have to leave “all” to follow Jesus?(Mat 10:37 NKJV) “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.

(Luke 14:26 NKJV) “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple.

What is a part of accepting the “call”?(Mark 1:17 NKJV) Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

Is it possible to be “in the calling” and not repeat “the call”?

From this encounter we see: We must commit all to Christ; the

things we keep, we must “keep in their place” of lower priority.

If we are not busy repeating “the call,” we should seriously question whether or not we are “in the calling.”
