*The US had entered the war late—only in 1917 (Why it entered late into the war?)*According to US President Woodrow Wilson,

the US had no territorial ambitions; rather, it was the goal of the US to “make the world safe for democracy.”*However, during the Paris Peace Conference,

the US saw that the major European powers had no real desire to change
