Opening Screen
2. Connecting the app to the “Smart Food Scale”
2.1 Turn on the food scale by touching the multi-purpose touch button on the scale.
2.2 Start the app by pressing the app icon
2.3 Once the app is started, the “opening screen” will show up. The opening screen is reserved space for displaying information
news updates. The following screen is the tutorial screen giving you a quick overview on how to use the app with the smart food
scale. You can press on the “Next” button to view the next tutorial slide or press on the “Skip” button go to the “main screen”.
3. App Feature Overview
Connection Status Bar:
Showing Smart Food Scale connection status
- Green color means connected
- Red color means disconnected
Unit Button:
For changing display units in the app and the
scale. Press on down arrow to see available
weighing units - gram, kilo-gram, pound and
ounce).
Add Food Button:
Press this button to add the weight the
Food List area. (This function only
works when there is a non zero
weight).
Tare/Zero Button:
For resetting the displayed weighing value in
the app and in the scale to zero (when the app
is connected to the scale).
Save Button:
When there are multiple food items in the list,
you can save them as a custom food item,
which can be later used for portion control
Food List Area:
The area for listing one or multiple food
weight value(s).
Edit Button:
This button allow you to remove some
or all weight values in the Food List
Area. SmartPointsTM Total:
This area shows the total SmartPointsTM value
of all the items in the Food List.
SELECT Button:
Press on the button to associate the
weight value to a food by “keyword
search”, “food category” or “barcode
scan (pending release)”.
Nutrient Facts Tab:
Press on this tab to view the macro
nutrition values of all the food items.

Use Case 1: Determine the SmartPointsTM value of a single food item Assuming that the WW Smart Food Scale app has been started and the main screen has been started, let’s go through the scenario of determining the SmartPointsTM value of a single food item using the app with the smart scale. 4.1 At main screen, quickly check if the app is connected to the smart scale by looking at the connection status bar located at the top of the main screen. Green means connected; Red means NOT connected. If red, please make sure the smart scale is turned on and within 30 feet from the scale. 7. Create a New Food (coming soon): This feature will enable users to add their own custom food in the app for future use.
8. Login WW member account (coming soon): Users who login their WW member account will be have full access to WW’s food database via barcode scanning or keyword search. In addition, users will also be able to record the SmartPointsTM value from the Smart Scale app to their WW mem-ber account.
