We are all still in shock over the sudden passing of our friend and colleague Stacey Tomczyk. She was a bright light and spark plug for our staff here at WTVP and will be sorely missed.Stacey’s love of public television and WTVP in particular were evident in everything she did. She added a warmth and whimsy to any discussion and brought a unique perspective to even the driest topics. She was particularly effective with children’s projects – she spoke their language and had a way of communicating with them that was a joy to behold. While her primary responsibility was programming, her talents went far beyond that. She was an excellent writer and knew just the right phrases to make a promotional piece sparkle. Stacey did a great job editing our program guide. Her words made you want to immediately see whatever program she was promoting, or participate in whatever project she was touting.
We will remember Stacey with fondness always. She had a wonderful spirit and it will remain a part of us all forever.

A Funny Lady Carol Burnett’s Favorite SketchesJoin beloved funny lady Carol Bur-nett as she presents her own person-ally selected favorite moments from her long-running variety series “The Carol Burnett Show.” Laugh along with Carol and her hilarious troupe of regulars — Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Vicki Lawrence and Lyle Waggoner — and special guests Steve Martin and Betty White. Several of the sketches Car-ol selected include footage from the first five years of the series, which have never been re-aired. • “The Dentist” • “Went With the Wind” • “Nora Desmond:
The Commercial”• “The Oldest Man:

Dancing on the EdgeThe eight-part series begins Sunday, June 26 at 7 p.m.
Written and directed by acclaimed writer Stephen Poliakoff (The Lost Prince), DANCING ON THE EDGE is a 1930’s period drama detailing the rise of the Louis Lester Band – a black jazz band in London led by Louis Lester, played by BAFTA Award-Winner Chiwetel Ejiofor. As the band continues to pre-vail, despite the racism and classism they encounter, Louis finds himself entangled in a series of unfortunate events. He becomes a suspect in a murder case, putting him on the run and possibly leading to the band’s demise. The series originally aired on Starz in 2013.
In addition to Ejiofor (12 Years A Slave, Amistad, Kinky Boots), DANCING ON THE EDGE features an all-star cast, including John Goodman (“Roseanne,” 10 Cloverfield Lane, O Brother, Where Art Thou?) as Masterson, Jacqueline Bisset as Lady Cremone – which won her a Golden Globe for her perfor-mance – Janet Montgomery (“En-tourage,” “Human Target,” The Hills Run Red) as Sarah, Angel Coulby (“Merlin”) as Jessie, Wunmi Mosaku (“Joy”) as Carla, Tom Hughes (Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll) as Julian, Joanna Vanderham (“The Runaway”) as Pamela and Matthew Goode (“Downton Abbey”) as Stanley.
