SIMPLYPUT TRUNK SHOW
Local favorite Atlanta MADE tops off the
fall season with a new line of quirky, ret-
ro hats by Atlanta milliner Susan Morehead,
founder of Suzseams. The new fall collec-
tion blends an essence of the 1930s with a
modern flair, featuring fashionable colors and
original designs fashioned on custom pine
blocks crafted by Susan’s husband. Each Su-
zseams’ hat is created with the authenticity
of traditional millinery and craftsmanship us-
ing fur felt that was made in the US between
the 1950s and 1970s. This fine material, along
with vintage buttons and trim, gives the hats a
unique and classic appeal, making them a cor-
nerstone of any outfit. Viist Suzseams online
at suzseams.com, and for the city’s best selec-
tion of custom-crafted, locally-made products,

there’s world-class fashion
right here in Atlanta. Beginning with
pioneers like Ginna Gilbert and Rachel
Baba, whose carefully curated, artful
boutiques (G. Gilbert and Seed Factory)
opened at WSPD more than a decade
ago; continuing with respected Southern
designers like the Mashburns, Billy Reid
and Kayce Hughes, and capped off by
notables such as Jack Spade, Steven
Alan, Calypso St. Barth, Everything But
Water, lululemon and J. Crew, there is
no denying that—these days—you don’t
need to hop a plane to find looks you’ll
love. Here are some of our fall favorites.
