When you are looking at campaign posters you could use the following chart to help you.

Name of campaign What is the main message of the poster?

Who is the poster aimed at?

Is the poster effective in getting its message across?

Child abuse

To stop child abuse, and for

children to be aware of who

they can contact people who

can stop the abuse.

Children who are being

abused e.g. family

members, parents, carers.

Yes, because it shows

awareness to children who

are being abused and it

show people who aren’t

abuse to notice the signs

and help stop abuse towards

children.

Drink Driving

To stop drink driving, stop people getting hurt and harming themselves.

People that drive and tend

to drink.

Yes, because the poster tells

the audience the

effectiveness of what drink

driving does to themselves

and others around them, and

shows people that they will

be punished as well, could

lead to going to prison.

Men’s Aid

To tell men that there is

help if they are getting

abuse by there partner and

can help stop it.

To men that are abused by

there partner.

Yes, because it makes

people aware of women

beating there men, and lets

men know something can

be helped to stop that.
