WHAT IS AKA?

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. was founded on January 15, 1908 on the campus on Howard

University.

IOTA UPSILON CHAPTER

The Illustrious Iota Upsilon Chapter was chartered on Syracuse University’s campus on May 9, 1975.

So how do you improve an already illustrious organization and chapter?

THE TASK

Rebranding the chapter with a new website and better networking strategies.

FIRST THINGS, FIRST… A LOGO!

In order to brand something, you must give it something that people can

associate it with.

Networking is important in an international organization.

BUSINESS CARDS

This would help with networking and creating a point of contact when dealing with potential members.

A WEBSITE

A central place where others can seek information about the chapter and organization is important.

It also supplies the campus with the latest in our chapter new, it’s undergraduate members, and any

events we may be having.

NATIONAL WEBSITE

It is key to not duplicate the national website but to tailor it to our own chapter and make it specific to our needs.

It’s also great to see the progress and be able to document and archive special happenings.

HOME PAGE

HERSTORY (HISTORY)

This would include the national history as well as chapter history.

CHAPTER PROGRAMMING

This would include flyers and descriptions of our signature and past programming.

PRETTY GIRL GALLERY

This section would include a plethora of photos including the undergraduate members at different

events.

My chapter has achieved a lot and we would like the world to know by evaluating how we interact with the public

and how they can access us.
