Requirements in Grammar Test Preparation

Firstly, when designing a test we should take into consideration how much time should be

allocates for the learners to take the test, where it will take place and how much time is

required for marking it.

Secondly, it is important to decide what items or skill sets we’re including in our test, as well

as learner appropriate topics.

Lastly, it is vital that we administer our test to our colleagues before administering it to our

learners, to avoid dealing with possible problems we have not anticipated.

Some important questions: Are instructions both clear and unambiguous? Does each section provide an example item for the

students? Is the difficulty of the various items appropriate for your students?
