How long will this workshop take?

• It should take about six hours to complete the workshop.

• Your completed tasks will be checked by a lecturer from the AESC.

• All tasks must be completed to a satisfactory standard.

What happens if I don’t complete the workbook?

• If all tasks are not completed, the AESC will not sign off on your successful completion of the course.

How is academic writing different?

• Usually written in the third person, so avoid using ‘I’ and ‘me’.

• Formal in tone, so avoid using emotive language, slang and colloquial language.
