In this introductory course teaches you how to set up and use a Wordpress blog. Recent applications include teaching, self learning, project organization and structure of academic folder (portfolio)

What is a blog?
• How to create a new blog from "scratch“. (You must have a valid email account already.)
• How to use administration page ( Dashboard) to manage blog "from the back".
• To change the appearance ( Theme )
• To insert images and links.
• "Notepad" which makes it even easier to add new records.

The activity of updating a blog is “blogging” and someone who keeps a blog is a “blogger”
A blog contains text, images, media objects and data. This depends entirely on the blogger

Free or hosted? Depends on the goal of the blog Different blogging platforms offer different levels of
service for example: Blogger.com & Wordpress.com offer both the
platform, domain name and hosting Wordpress.org (note this is different to
Wordpress.com) offers the platform for free but you need to find and pay for hosting and domain name
Movable Type charge for a licencse for the platform and domain name and hosting
