Description The Co-operative Group (tCG) is one of large Food Retailers of UK and has around 3000 stores covering every postcode of the nation. tCG intended to redevelop their existing Customer Complaints systems, which were around 20 years old and based on Oracle and Lotus Notes technology respectively. Through the redevelopment exercise, tCG intended to have a unified Complaints system merging the Lotus Notes module into Oracle and have new and enhanced functionalities within the unified Complaints system ensuring mapping of the current business processes to electronic system flow with necessary flexibilities.The key deliverables for this project were:-
Creating one central contact centre so that all customer and store communication is consistently delivered and the overall execution of Policy and Strategy is delivered.

Description Database migration from MS SQL 7.0 to MS SQL 2005, Identifying performance improvement scopes and redesigning them, Demise of the mainframe systems and replicating the same in C++ and T-SQL, Introducing TWS as the job scheduler, Performance tuning done after load testing so as to accommodate more store and stock items as required by the Co-operative Group.
The requirements were mainly to modify or add functionality to the migration of the ESM system to meet the Co-operative business functionalities like Parent Child, NSL Override and Corporate Forecasting.
Conversion of SQL server based system to Oracle. Introduction of Unix jobs to facilitate huge data volume.

Description Store Stock Management, was system used by Somerfield Stores for Inventory Management and Order Control. Inventory control involved use of handheld devices having real-time synchronisation with the EPOS. Order Control was intelligent ordering based on forecasting with MAINFRAME interactions.

Highlights The criticality of the SSM application was very high with fair amount of call volume and very little response time, still there has been very few escalations and almost all the time incidents have been resolved within SLA.
