WelcomeWe are very glad to have you worshiping our gracious God with us today.

Flowers The sanctuary flowers are given today to the glory of God.

To Our Guests,We especially welcome you today! More information about our church is available on our website at firstpresaugusta.org.

Spiritual CareIf you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please use one of the prayer cards in the pew rack to contact one of our pastors. Our church elders are also available to speak with you. An elder will be standing next to the pastor following the service.

Children’s Check-inWe are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of newborns through fifth grade children to check in their children before they go to the nursery, Sunday School, Catechism, Children’s Church or any other children’s activity. Several kiosks are available in the Welcome Center. The process is quick and easy, and volunteers are available if you need assistance checking in.

Children’s WorshipWe offer a specially designed program for children in pre-k through fourth grade during the morning services. A leader will escort children from the sanctuary to their classrooms during the hymn of preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick them up after the service. Parents of children in pre-k through second grade are asked to pick up their children following Sunday School or the 11 a.m. worship service.

Nursery Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We also provide a Mother/Infant Room located beside Nursery 1 which is equipped with live video feed of the worship services. Ushers are available to direct you.

Additional Seating Additional seating for morning and evening worship services is available each week in St. Andrew’s Hall.

As stewards of God’s resources, we try not to print an excess of bulletins. We invite you to bring this bulletin with you when you return for the evening service.

†The Call to Worship ..............................................................................Psalm 96:9-13

Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.

Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.” The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it.

Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.

Let all creation rejoice before the Lord, for he comes, he comes to judge the earth.

He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in his faithfulness.

The Lord be with you.And with your spirit.Let us worship God!

Write your blessed name, O Lord, upon my heart,There to remain so indelibly engravedThat no prosperity, that no adversityShall move me from your love.Be to me a strong tower of defense,A comforter in tribulation, a deliverer in distress,And a faithful guide to the courts of heavenThrough the many temptations and dangers of this life.O Jesu, my only Savior!

(Sung by all)Jesus loves me, this I know,For the Bible tells me so.Little ones to him belong; They are weak but he is strong.

Jesus loves me, he who died,Heaven’s gates to open wide.He will wash away my sin;Let his little child come in.

Yes, Jesus loves me! Yes, Jesus loves me!Yes, Jesus loves me!The Bible tells me so.

†The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.

The Assurance of Pardoning Grace ................................................... Ephesians 2:4-7But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

The Personal Confession of Sin (Please kneel if able to do so)

The Corporate Confession of Sin

Father and Creator, may your Spirit speak in me that I may speak to you. I am undeserving, but I look to your tender mercy. I am full of infirmities, wants, sins; you are full of grace. I confess my sin, my frequent sin, my willful sin; all my pow-ers of body and soul are defiled: a fountain of pollution is deep within my nature. Help me in all my doings to put down sin and to humble pride. Save me from the love of the world and the pride of life, from everything that is natural to fallen man. Enable me to never lose sight of the glory of Christ. Amen. adapted from the Valley of Vision

Words and Music: Geoff Bullock | ©1992 Word Music, LLC

Lord, I come to you; let my heart be changed, renewed,Flowing from the grace that I found in you.And Lord, I’ve come to know the weaknesses I see in meWill be stripped away by the power of your love.

Hold me close, let your love surround me.Bring me near, draw me to your side; And as I wait, I’ll rise up like the eagle,And I will soar with you; your Spirit leads me onIn the power of your love.

Lord, unveil my eyes; let me see you face to face,The knowledge of your love as you live in me.Lord, renew my mind, as your will unfolds in my lifeIn living every day by the power of your love.
