To Our Guests,We especially welcome you today! More information about our church is available on our website at firstpresaugusta.org.
Spiritual CareIf you would like to speak to someone about what it means to know Jesus Christ or you have any spiritual need or question, please use one of the prayer cards in the pew rack to contact one of our pastors. Our church elders are also available to speak with you. An elder will be standing next to the pastor following the service.
Children’s Check-inWe are committed to the highest level of protection possible for the children placed in our care on Sundays and at all church events. For this reason, we require parents of newborns through fifth grade children to check in their children before they go to the nursery, Sunday School, Catechism, Children’s Church or any other children’s activity. Kiosks are available in the Welcome Center. The process is quick and easy, and volunteers are available to assist you.
Children’s WorshipWe offer a specially designed program for children in pre-k through fourth grade during the morning services. Leaders will escort children from the sanctuary to their classrooms before the hymn of preparation. Parents are welcome to accompany them to observe where to pick them up after the service. Parents of children in pre-k through second grade are asked to pick up their children following Sunday School or the 11 a.m. worship service.
Nursery Nurseries are provided for infants and toddlers during the worship services and Sunday School. We provide a Mother/Infant Room located beside Nursery 1, and the Geneva Room is designated as a Cry Room for parents with fussy children, equipped with live video feed of the worship services. Ushers are available to direct you.
Additional Seating Additional seating for morning and evening worship services is available each week in St. Andrew’s Hall.
As stewards of God’s resources, we try not to print an excess of bulletins. We invite you to bring this bulletin with you when you return for the evening service.

For through him we have access to the Father by one Spirit.
You are no longer foreigners and aliens,
But fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household.
The Lord be with you.And with your spirit.Let us worship God!
Jesus, lover of my soul, let me to thy bosom fly. While the nearer waters roll and the tempest still is high,Hide me, O my Savior, hide, till the storm of life is past;Safe into the haven guide, O receive my soul at last!

†The Confession of Faith .................................. The Belgic Confession, Article No. 20
We believe that God—who is perfectly merciful and also very just—sent his Son to assume the nature in which the disobedience had been committed,in order to bear in it the punishment of sin by his most bitter passion and death. So God made known his justice toward his Son, who was charged with our sin,and he poured out his goodness and mercy on us, who are guilty and worthy of damnation, giving to us his Son to die, by a most perfect love, and raising him to life for our justification, in order that by him we might have immortality and eternal life.

†The Pastoral Prayer and The Lord’s PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen.
The Assurance of Pardoning Grace ............................................... Jeremiah 31:33-34“This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”
Our great and glorious God, you who know and judge the secrets of every human heart; we do acknowledge and confess that we have followed our father, Adam, in revolting against your commandments. We have turned from your ways and from your blessed presence, and have reaped the misery of turning away from you, the very author of life. None of us is righteous, no not one, none of us has understanding, none of us seeks God. Our throats are opened graves. We use our tongues to deceive; our mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Our feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery are in our paths, and the way of peace we have not known. There is no fear of God before our eyes. We appeal to you, through your great mercy made manifest in Jesus Christ your obedient Son, that you would forgive our sins for his sake, that you would make many righteous through his one act of obedience, that where our sin has increased, your grace would abound. Just as Christ was raised from the dead by your glory, so also may we walk in newness of life. Amen.

*†The PeaceThe peace of the Lord be with you always.
And also with you.
The Lord is my light and my salvation,Whom then shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life,Of whom then shall I be afraid?
Though a host of men were laid against me,Yet shall not my heart be afraid; And though there rose up war against me,Yet will I put my trust in him.
For in the time of trouble, He shall hide me in his tabernacle,Yea, in the secret places of his dwellingShall he hide me, and set me up upon a rock of stone!
