NEWS AND NOTES Nursery Needs: For those with small babies or toddlers, attended nurseries are avail-able. Ages birth to 24 months will be in the nursery at the end of the east hallway. Attendants are Elyse & Derrick Tharp. Two and three-year-old's will be in room 208. Attendants are Stephanie, Sophia & Olivia Price. Men’s Bible Study: Men’s Bible Study Tuesday, September 4 at 10:00 a.m. in the Conference Room at the building Bible study of the book of Genesis. Men ofall ages are welcome to join this wonderful time of study and fellowship.

Babysitter Needed: The Ladies Class is looking for a babysitter for Tuesday morn-ings from 9:45 to 11:15 to care for the children while they have their Bible study. If you are interested or know of someone who might be interested please have them con-tact Barbara Houck @ 747-8804.

Prayer Request: Former member, Gary McLachlan, has been diagnosed with frontal lobe dementia caused by his Parkinson’s. He has been hospitalized while doc-tors continue to search for medications that will help him function better.

Prayers For: The following continue to struggle with health concerns: Richard Price, father of Brian Price, (recovering from open heart surgery), Joyce Williams (Dana’s mother), Cheryl Carlin (brain tumors), Marilyn Bergbower (knee replace-ment), Cindy Pekrul, (Chemo treatments), Whitney Pratt, Steve Rogers (cancer), Rick Hays (cancer), and Joy Long (cancer).

LADIES BIBLE CLASS:

The Tuesday morning Ladies Bible class will resume Sep-

tember 11 at 10:00 am. They will study the book of

Psalms. A group of six women will rotate teaching the

class for the fall semester. Angela Criswell will present an

introduction to the book of Psalms at the first class meet-

ing. The following ten lessons are based on the 150 Psalms

divided into seven categories: Psalms related to specific historical events,

songs for the troubled soul (2 sessions), Psalms about righteousness and

evil, Psalms of joy and praise (2 sessions), Psalms addressing a variety of

sentiments, Psalms of the Messiah, Psalms of a people in exile, and Psalms

of a nation restored (songs of ascent). The last class on December 4 will be

a review. Child care will be provided.

Since its establishment one year ago, Our Daily

Bread (ODB) has filled over 10,000 grocery

carts full of food to help feed almost 30,000

individuals in Payne county. Our church volun-

teer team works at ODB once a month and dur-

ing our August 22nd distribution gave groceries

to 77 families.
