Fendercare Marine has provided ship-to-ship (STS) services to the oil and gas shipping industries globally since 1995. Transfers can take place between vessels of any size and a variety of cargoes including crude oil, white and black products, LPG and LNG, as well as bulk cargoes.

Today these services are provided from a network of over 50 worldwide bases, currently handling in excess of 2,800 transfers a year. Our safety record is exemplary without a single environmental incident since we began STS services and in 2013 we transported over 420 million barrels across the world.

EquipmentFendercare Marine is the world’s largest supplier and operator of Yokohama fenders and only Yokohama STS hoses are used for petroleum STS transfers. All Fendercare Marine equipment is certified to the highest standards: ISO 17357 for pneumatic fenders and BS EN 1765 for hoses.

Our equipment is stored, tested and utilised in accordance with individual manufacturer’s guidelines and the Ship to Ship Transfer Guide for Petroleum, Chemicals and Liquefied Gases.

Support CraftFendercare Marine owns and operates 10 support craft to assist with our operations. All vessels are in class and fully compliant with international and local regulations and certification.

Other vessels are chartered in locally to support our operations and these undergo our rigorous service provider support craft audit. Vessels and vessel owners/managers must comply with our strict audit programme to ensure we provide the safest, most efficient service available.

Pilotage and MooringFor ad hoc services or long-term contracts, we have over 80 highly experienced STS Superintendents ready at a moment’s notice.

From mooring design and supply to full logistical support, Fendercare Marine supports your berthing operations. We also offer a training simulator for STS Superintendents trainee progression or yearly assessments and can build a training programme to suit any requirements.

Emergency OperationsFendercare Marine has a worldwide reputation for fast call out response times and due to our global footprint and access to equipment resources, we have the facility to conduct STS on a rapid deployment basis in emergency situations.
