The 14th edition of the world's largest paper show - PAPEREX2019 (PPX2019), undoubtedly proved itself as the International exhibition & conference on pulp, paper & allied industries bringing together over 29, 628 trade visitors with over 603 exhibitors from India & abroad covering an area of 30,000 sqms this exhibition has always been the most covered show for paper industry addressing the needs of paper & board manufacturers, paper traders, printers, publisher, converter and paper packaging companies, designers for corrugated box & related packaging, investors & promoters. The most innovative and latest products & amp; solutions by leading companies, who were the exhibitors at the show, were unveiled and demonstrated attracting many eyeballs. The morning of 3rd December 2019 witnessed a grand opening of the much awaited, Paperex2019 by industry veterans and eminent personalities. The show kick-started along with technical conference on “Paper Industry in the coming Decade” by Indian Agro & Recycled Paper Mills Associations (IARPMA). For the first time, Hyve Group, the organisers of Paperex, launched open seminar on “Corrugated Packaging Industry- A SWOT for Future” By leaders of corrugated & allied industries.

International technical conference: There was a 3 - day conference on paper industry, focusing on the global innovations, new developments, paper industry in coming decade, digital technology in paper, wood & agro-based paper making and present their viewpoint on the current status & challenges of the Indian & Japanese paper industry.

The conference focused on topics such as impact of synthetic Nano materials on economy, energy & environment in paper & board industry, tailor -made stretchable papers & deriving composite materials in the packaging industry, new NWB Bag-in-Box concept for beverages & other liquid packaging and minerals & printing. Distinguished speakers from the companies, organizations made their presentations on the various development in India.

CONCURRENT CONFERENCE

For the first time, Hyve Group, the organisers of Paperex2019, launched open seminar on “Corrugated Packaging Industry – A SWOT for Future” By leaders of corrugated & allied industries. The keynote address was given by Mr. Divakar Reddy President, Indian Printing, Packaging & Allied Machinery Manufacturers Association and Mr. Naynesh Pasari, Director, Shree Krishna Paper Mills & Ind. Ltd. A presentation on quality parameters for innovative corrugated fibreboard boxes was made by Mr. Madhab Chakraborty, Joint Director & Regional Head, Indian Institute of Packaging, Delhi. The inaugural session was followed by presentations on corrugated machinery & design innovations in corrugated box manufacturing. The theme of the seminar was well represented in a panel discussion by highlighted speakers of the seminar: Mr. Ram Kumar Sunkara from SS Consultants, Mr. Anil Singh from Genus Paper & Boards Ltd., Mr. Sashi Ravada from Vital Paper Products, Mr. Vikas Mahajan from Mahajan Recycle Resources & Mr. Ashutosh Randar from Sanjeevani Gum Udiyog.

During the 2nd day of the seminar, discussions were held on good manufacturing processes, new age automation for corrugated packaging solutions, corrugated printing and digital printing. The 3rd day of the seminar saw presenters taking up some crucial points like 'Innovation in Kraft Paper for Packaging Industry' and 'Corrugated Box Testing Methods for Ensuring Quality'. This was followed by industry interactions and unparalleled opportunity for business tie-ups.
