April 9, 1940 Denmark surrenders to Germany. Germany invades Norway.
January 20 1942 Germany holds the Wannsee Conference in Berlin to find a "Final Solution" for the Jews.
July 20 1944 German military leaders attempt but fail to kill Adolf Hitler in the Rastenburg Assassination Plot. Hitler then kills about 200 suspected plotters.
