•On September 15, 1918 US Air Corps Corporal Lee Duncan discovered a German Shepherd Mother and her puppies in a dug out in the fields of France. The War Kennel was bombed and the owner taken prisoner.

•Corporal Lee Duncan kept two of the puppies and named them after French Puppets from France named Rin Tin Tin and Nenette.

•Nenette did not survive, but he trained Rin Tin Tin and used him as a military dog in World War I.

•Duncan brought him back to the United States where he made his first movie in 1926 which became the world’s biggest box office hit.

• Rin Tin Tin’s movie helped Warner Brothers from going bankrupt.

•The French Puppets were puppets created in France and named Nenette and Rin Tin Tin.

• They were given to the soldiers in the trenches as good luck charms, so no harm would come to the soldiers.

•They eventually were made into jewelry and sold as well.
