2009 “THE NGO WORLD” (TNW) was initiated as an online forum of NGO sector professionals for
sharing activities, knowledge, best practices, success stories,
case studies, job & training opportunities and achievements.
During 2010 TNW started humanitarian operations and started
managing development projects by getting registered as The
NGO World Foundation (briefly called TNW Foundation).
The NGO World has also achieved the ISO 9001:2008 accreditation
for quality management system.
It all started in the prosperous mental map of the TNW’s Founder “Mr. Zafar Iqbal” with the support
of only a single tool called laptop, initial work cut out only included exchange of ideas, sharing of
best practices & case studies, opportunity mapping & sharing for employment, training &
development within the segment of not-for-profit organizations of Pakistan. This all was done
through online activities with the help of social media tools like Facebook, Yahoo Groups, LinkedIn
and Twitter.
The power of the founder’s belief and his spirit to endeavor for the betterment of the humanity
developed TNW in to a not-for-profit concern that is agile enough to undertake life enrichment in a
wide array of segments including Health, Education, Leadership & Entrepreneurship and Poverty
Alleviation & Disaster Management, Relief & Rehabilitation. Truly, the journey that started form a
single step took TNW Foundation to the achievement of a number of milestones to mark the destiny
comprising thousands & thousands of miles.
