Remember that

there are always

activities for

practice on my

website at:

Recuerde que hay

siempre

actividades para

practicar en mi

sitio web.

Some of the fun was caught in action! Our year of language learning together is off to a great start!

Check out what we’ve been up to in class...

1st

2nd

3rd

4th

1st graders began by working with number s &

the calendar. They can practice with el calendario

on my website. Look for a fun flap book that’s

helping us practice with weather words that will

come home next week! ¿Cómo está el tiempo?

4th graders have been practicing telling time in Spanish. Students have

had a lot of fun with the interactive clock linked to my website & are showing

they understand with their whiteboards. They’re practicing using the correct vowel

sounds to write about time. They have learned the difference between: de la mañana,

de la tarde, & de la noche. Ask your 4th grader when you use each during the day

and ask for our actions for each time of day. Encourage practice on my website.

3rd graders were visited by a very special guest-

Maeve’s mom! She taught us about a Spanish style of

dance called, flamenco. Can your 3rd grader remember

the Flamenco moves that they learned? They loved the

story of a bull called Ferdinando & made their own

toros, too. Their ability to read a book about España

will amaze you when it comes home!

2nd graders have been studying timelines.

Timelines help us talk about el pasado, el presente,

& el futuro. This timeline shows the birthdays/

independence days of the U.S., México, & members

of our class. Ask your second grader to use picture

clues to tell you what their timeline of the history of

groups of people in Mexico is about when it comes

home next week.

K

Kindergarteners have learned so much already.

They can practice with feelings & escuela counting mini

books that come home. To access interactive books for

help, visit my website. Now we’re learning about

schools here & around the world. These little ones are

very enthusiastic about learning a new language!
